I didn't notice until after the race had finished that my driver pitted a lap early on lap 18, but I don't know why.

You can see at the end of lap 18 he still had 3.9L in the tank, and a 5/5 lap around Bahrain is only 3.6L, so even IF I was on 5/5 push (which I wasn't) he still had more than enough for another lap. So with that, push levels aren't to blame for this occurance here.

Any ideas what has happened here devs? Please don't take this thread as a bitch thread - I am not complaining or moaning, I am just letting you know the "driver pitting early" bug still exists.

This same issue happened to me as well in my last season...caused some consternation within myself.

However glad to know its a bug...and not just my drivers or tech director being an idiot.

You didn't have enough fuel to go the distance you wanted to go. 33L is good for 8 laps (31L is perfect for 8, 35L would be 9 and you didn't have enough for that), I hate to say it but you messed up on your end.

Look at how close you were on the first stint, 38L would have been ideal for 10 laps. If it were any colder and you ran a higher push longer you would have been short there, too. This time it's not on the game, you just did your fuel wrong.

You basically went 10/8/8 in laps, and that is exactly what the game gave you. It's 28 laps, and you did 10 on 37L, were you trying to go 11 or something? Otherwise I don't know why you didn't go 37L, 37L, 33L then you would've made it.

Like I said, you messed up. :(

Bear in mind that you need enough fuel to get to your garage - not just to the finish line.  Also the drivers do factor in a small margin of error.

Well the garage thing is new to me. The dot disappears when it crosses the s/f line. :D

How come in his 3rd stint 33 ltrs did 9 laps then...... and had 0.4 left

in stint 2 he had 33 ltrs and only do 8 laps, despite having 3.9 ltrs lefts ( 3.6 ltr per lap), he should of done 9 laps again with 0.3-0.4 ltrs left apon arrival at pit box.

Probably different push levels for the stints he was able to squeeze more out of it. I have an excel spead sheet with all the formulas, it doesn't lie as to the fact of what a fuel load is for the amount of laps it gives. The fuel is wrong.

Also I don't know where his pitstall was, like where exactly he was clicking by the s/f line because that is when it gives the fuel remaining reading, so the the "driver" might have seen that it would have had about 0.1 for another lap or less (around 3.8L usage on 5/5) and that is cutting it close. So he came in with 3.9L A lower push level on the third stint is probably how he got an extra lap out of it.

But it still stands, his fuel was way off. He went 10 laps on 37L. He tried to go 18 laps on two 33L stints.

with max push and max kers its was 3.7 ltrs per lap, and he had 3.9 when he crossed the line, there is no push level that exsists to do 3.8 or 3.9 per lap in that race..... he had enough fuel, he clearly likes to push it yes but thats how u find the extra's tenths throughtout a race that makes the difference agaist your rivels, his fuel was ok.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if every lap was 3.7 he would of needed 33.3. ltrs
if every lap was 3.6 he would of needed 32.4 ltrs
but most laps are 3.6. he had 1 or 2 x 3.7 laps per stint
even if u put a safety of 5 x 3.6 laps (18 ltrs) & 4 x 3.7 laps (14.8 ltrs) = 32.8 ltrs for that 9 lap stint and he had 33.  (and he only had 2 x 3.7 ltr laps in that stint which would leave plenty to finish the next lap)

and if u read what he wrote he was not even on max push for that lap were it pitted him early..

By my math he didn't have enough fuel. I've never had any of these issues, the only fuel issue I ever had was my fault. *knock on wood* I know the bugs exist, but this one wasn't a bug.

Maybe Andrew or Jack can look into this and tell us what happened.

at 3.7L usage 33L doesn't cover 9 laps, it covers 8.9 which is too close for the driver to consider to do. It comes out to be 33.3L and you'd need to plug in 34L to cover 9 laps not 33L which is what he did. He cut it too close and it bit him. He was able to stretch it for that one stint because of lower push levels.

I did look at the info and it's plain as day what happened and I gave you the math outright.  I'm not wrong, but I'm not going to argue any farther. I reach the finish line, you can continue being short.

He just cut it too close.

Wtf. Did you even read the data? I did not mess up. I did 37 (10 laps) and 33, 33, which is 9 and 9 laps, not 8 and 8. 33L is plenty for 9 laps. I even did 9 laps with 33L in the third stint, so why didn't the second stint do the same?

3.7L is the 5/5 usage Sean. I was not on 5/5 for the whole stint, in fact I was on 1/5 for most of it. 33L should not have pit me.
