Hi Guys just to point out for today I was trying to get into our race, there was a new Java update, Which I installed fine then when trying to get into 2D, it tells me to install Java. Tried again, and got the message the I already have the program installed. Also when I go to Live timings, It shows all the timimng but no chat or controls. I cannot check push levels etc and I get the same message of Java is not installed. Checked in installed programs, new version of Java is here.

Any help?

There are many people more experienced in this problem than me, but I would recommend logging a call with the helpdesk. I will see if any of them are around & ask them to comment here.

I was having the same issue when I downgraded to java 6 update 38. It took me closing the browser and restarting the computer for it to work properly.

Hi Akisch & Greg, could you please give me the following details?

Java Version and Update #

Java Platform (32bit or 64bit)

Operating System and RAM

Browser that is effected
Also could you check the following:
Go into Control Panel, > System and Security > System > Advanced System Settings. (Using View By: Category will make this easier)
A window called System Properties should come up and could you from there, click on Advanced and go to Environment Variables

Where it says System Variables scroll down to a Variable called 'Path' and click Edit.
Check and look for these: For some reason the forum doesn't like Backslashes so I have to use forward slashes until Jack can remedy this minor issue, just remember to use/look for backslashes where I have done forward slashes

C:/Program Files/Java/jre7/bin

C:/Program Files (x86)/Java/jre7/bin
These Addresses should be in the Value for the Path variable, which are the Address to the folder Bin in your Java folder under Program Files. Check to make sure these files exist and have both 32 and 64 bit Java installed first. Once done, copy their addresses and place them into the Path Value at the end, with ; seperating them and no spaces unless for the name of a folder.

This should then look like this: C:/Program Files/Java/jre7/bin;C:/Program Files (x86)/Java/jre7/bin

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

I had this exactly issue with th elast update from JAVA (about 1,5 month ago). I have  tried it on 4 different PC's. I uninstalled Java and took a old version, worked fine,... updated it,.. did not work. So i run a old old version. except that i get the message that my version is uotdated all works fine now.
Old version word on all 4 PC's.
Stupid Java and their anoying updates and brake everything ,...  This is not the only program that has Java issues.
I use W7 64 Bit with 4 and 8 Gbit of ram. I was running all kind of Browsers,... With all of them (IE, Chrome, and Firefox) i had this issue.

Now i run this version that works fine everywhere : (build 1.6.0_26-b03) with all versions later than the 26 i had some issues,...

Hope you don't find this condescending but 8Gigabit of RAM is 1 Gigabyte of RAM :P

Your main issue is, you should be using Java 7.

David, I think you misunderstood me. Mine is working fine now. It was just a problem after I made the change. A restart solved the problem.

I will also not go to Java 7 unless forced to by the development of this game (currently I get warned that I am using an older versiopn of java, but I am allowed to continue to the 2D or live timing).

The US goverment stated there were 2 big exploits in Java 7 particularly opened by the time update 10 came around. Update 11 only fixed 1 of the 2 exploits.

I wasn't aware of the update but as per usual for me I'm sitting here trying to open 2D and the download bar will not progress.

I sure hope I can get it to work before this mornings race :/ I usually have to try about 45-50 times to get the download bar to complete.

Was this an update in the game or Java? I updated Java about 5 days ago and haven't had any problems since. I haven't been prompted for another update yet.

My 2D is always falling during the race and it has affected my results.

Any explanation for this? Is a bit boring paying for something never works s it should be... t least in all my races.

Edwin, has happened in every of my races league in the last 2 weeks.

First he stops and freezes and then appear in the window saying "loading". Sometimes back but then few seconds or 1/2 minutes later does the same. And sometimes I have to close the window and start all over again.

As I said before, in all my races in the last 2 weeks. 4 races per week in my league.

EDIT: And spends almost the entire race on that boring problem.

I use W7 HP 64 bit. 12GB of RAM. I used Chrome and Firefox. Java version is Version 7 update 11 (build 1.7.0_11-b21). I tried both 32-bit and 64-bit.

Before the new Java update, all was working fine but on Monday it got all broken. I have a race tomorrow and would like to be able to have some controls.

I tried the system properties thing but the path thing is not the same and I prefer not changing anything on my PC that will require me to roll back a setup as I
do not have time for this.

I was not the only one with this problem so I dont think it comes from my part. So please do something about it.
