I had to buy a new engine because it was at 65% or so. After 1 race its back at 62% seems strange to me...

I\'ve updated the way parts degrade so that the length of the race is factored in.  The aim is to make car parts degrade by roughly the same amount per race regarless of whether you are in a 100%, 50% or 25% length race.  If you or anyone else thinks the damage is just too much, I can tweak it.

It is too much, Andrew. I had the same wear, 65%. In real F1, engines don\'t wear that much.

Yeah im having to replace my engines every race now because they are dropping to around 62%, after the race on sunday i will see how far it drops.

Ok I\'ve halved the speed engines wear.

Andrew, the engines still wear 25% per race. Previously it was 35%. So not quite half.

They use engines for 1-3 races in F1, so 25% is reasonable, maybe about 20% would be better.

Jack, I doubt for a third race in a row, a team will use an engine at 33% condition.

Which would be why I\'m suggesting 20% wear.

20% is still enormous. Maybe maximum 15% per race.

Any more opinions about this now that a few more races have passed?  Based on previous discussion I\'m expecting to set the wear to something around 75% it\'s current value.

Its better now, my engines are in the low 80% which seems more reasonable.
