Fuel is a nasty beast to deal with in live races. Which btw, it's a snap to adjust when you're managing your car(s). Anything from push levels to track temp, pit traffic, what your competitors are doing around your car(s) can considerably effect fuel consumption. I'm always close to the red....so I know my FE isn't always the greatest. 2-3 laps to go on every stint I make a point of checking my fuel levels in relation to when I want them to pit. Yes, managing live races can be cruel some times. But that's what we do here. I would try to add .1-.3ltrs extra on every stint to minimize the chances of running out of fuel.
Thanks Memo for the tip, but the problem here is much worse. If I ask for 14 laps it should pit after 14 laps. The problem here is the fact it tries to make a 15th lap and eventually it runs out of fuel. Imagine this:
I put fuel for 14.3 laps (if I press the button "less" it puts me at 13.7 laps). The race starts and because I chose a conservative pace it calculates the fuel is enought for 14.8 laps. 14.8 is not 15! There is still 0.2 laps to get to 15, and that it when it runs out of fuel.
This is a terrible design and should be fixed asap. I asked for 14 laps, not 15 (much less 14.8...)
