When I finish second place it tells me my objective was to finish first I don’t get any prize money when I finish first it tells me my objective was to finish the race, does that mean everyone gets money?
Why can’t we have standard prizes for first ,second and third? I never know what my objectives are it’s stupid

You can check your objectives as the race is about to start in the home page! They are based on your last result I think.

I couldn`t agree more!!!!!!!    There needs to be a table just like team points for position finishes. I don`t understand why we have a point system based on where you finish in the race and have something ever so random for the rewards we get if any at all. Bizzard!!!

I agree that the target for receiving sponsor rewards should be easier to understand and perhaps the algorithm needs to be tweaked, but I don’t agree bonuses should be linked to finishing positions.

Currently these bonuses are designed to reward teams for outperforming regardless of where they actually finish the race.

If they were to be linked to (for example) top ten positions it would be yet another feature that favours the more established high level teams.

Lower level teams already have a hard time balancing finances because there is always something that needs to be upgraded or staff needing to be changed. This financial balancing act becomes much easier for high level teams because they level up so much more slowly.

For low level teams the additional income from sponsor bonuses is a game saver. If they were to be linked to race finishing positions the rewards would go to the high level teams who don’t need the money, leaving the low level ones to struggle even more than they do already.

How long is this song going to be played Kevin?

Or has it been played for so long that we can't see past it?

I'm not quite sure who we are "outperforming" ?

Ourselves?

That sounds like we are racing our personal best time and not other racers.  But wait, without other racers iGP can't determine final "placing" to figure out what your next race's objective is. Idk how other similar successful games manage to address this issue, but I do know I've been playing this game for over a year and still hearing the same song.

Imo, it's a racing game. There are winners and there are the rest of players. The one can't coexist without the others.

So the top players get better.....Structure a tier for such players!

Let the rest of us live, learn and strive to reach such tier.

But to keep everyone within a limited field is rather .....limited.

I am quite new to the game and I like the objectives.
When I'm on the edge, I try to find a way to earn some places to reach the objective, outperforming myself.
When you're midfield and know that you can't be first, it's a small reward for playing the game, IMO.

I agree that sometimes going from "finish the race" to "finish first" is a problem though.

It might be an improvement to split really good managers from a bit less talented ones, but aren't this the purpose of leagues ?

As a final thought, buildings are so expensive that at the beginning of the game, one looses money all the time. Without the reward, it's bankruptcy after a few seasons, not something that will catch players...

I think objectives are perfect to start the game. Maybe another mechanic is needed for high level managers to add extra spice in the game.

That's not a bad idea, or maybe the mechanics could start training for pitstop. The more they train the faster the stop.

The best way to earn bonuses regularly is to get consistent race results, as Andrew said objectives are based on the last race result. Achieving consistent race results may however not be good enough if you want to win the championship unless you win continually. And even there are times where you don't win and lose probably some money.

Another way of avoiding financial difficulty is to structure your team a way that you are less dependent on bonus money. Although this is more feasible for top level teams who can recruit cheap lvl 20 drivers in their youth academy.

The main problem with the bonus system is the objective gets harder the more you beat the requirement.  Even if you just meet the requirement, it can still get higher for the next race.  It's particularly annoying if the competiton in your league is close, it's hard to consistently get your bonus unless you're finishing below 15th (the lowest possible position that will be required) each race.  This system basically punishes lower teams in the next race if they get a much higher finishing position than they would normally achieve.

I'd like to be able to see the objectives once I've finished my practice runs as when I started I chose a league that ended up running at 4am my time so I don't get to see the objectives.

Here is an idea,

The game should be able to apply a rank on everyone in a series, a rank based on your car and driver and staff stats. The team who has the best stats and should win the race if played properly, should only get the bonus if they win. If one player has an overall estimated rank of 10, they should get the bonus if they place 10 or higher etc. This way everyone have the same opportunity to get the bonus, and everyone have to fight equally much according to their OWN level.

And yes, it would be much nicer if you could see the objectives earlier or maybe be able to check your objectives during the race. An extra tab at the top or perhaps.

I follow you, but I don't follow you...in any case, the concept is solid if based on the individual manager's level.

It shows it on race day on the home page. During the race you need to be above the green line shown on the leader board to reach your objective.

Nice I didn't know about the green line, thanks! We race every day in my league and I can see nothing on the homepage (using the browser anyway). But if there is a green line on the timing list it is good enough!

Thanks :)

The thing I don't understand with cash is why I can buy drivers, staff etc no matter whether I'm in the black or red but as soon as it comes to HQ, I've got to have more than enough cash, even if I'm in the black, if building my HQ takes me into the red, I get a big fat "no" why doesn't the same apply to other aspects of the game, it makes no sense.

It also means that it's weighted more towards level 20 managers because when you're level 20, once you've finished building your HQ, that's it. You can be as far in the red as you like, it doesn't matter, you can still buy new drivers and staff.
