Design plus engine

Hello. I have a question:
I use toy motor engine (+10 at handling) 
My car design points at acceleration is 100, the maximum I can have.
Now I switch from toymotor to murk (+10 acceleration)
my question is will my acceleration now be 110? Or is 100 still the maximum and a change to murk would be useless? 

capped at 100.
