Hello.

Our league is going into the final race tonight. There’s a possibility of a tie in points at the top. My question - in that scenario, how is the title awarded?

In RL I believe it is number of wins. But if we tie on points, that will also be 5 wins each.

Any idea on the separator in that scenario?

Thanks
Simon

Hiya Simon.

The order of merit is decided on who reached the highest position first (Australia is not included in the calculations)

In other words:

  • If in Race 2 - Malaysia a driver from Team 1 came 3rd and Driver from Team 2 came 2nd

  • If In Race 3 - China a Driver from Team 1 came 1st and a Driver from Team 2 came 2nd

  • On the eventuality of a tie in points at the end of the season, it is Team 1 that would be awarded the Constructors Championship.

The same calculation is used to decide the Drivers championship, the driver who reached the highest position first (excl Australia)

Regards

Sean

Thank you Sean.

My driver is tied in drivers champ and I am ahead in constructors.

He won the 3rd race of the season.

The other team didn’t win until after that, so I should win if tied on points in either champ.

That said, drivers can only be tied if they both fail to score, which is unlikely at best

Thanks a lot.
