Hi all,
I've got a question and maybe someone with insight in the game might explain it to me. But recently even at temps over 30C softs are faster than mediums on Monza and Bahrain. That's something I don't quite understand, because a couple of months ago (when the summer started and it got warmer) I had the feeling that mediums were the better/faster tyres for these tracks. And now it seem like it swaped back to softs.

My question is are there hard limits in the game were one tyre becomes faster than another or not? Or are the optimal tyre temp not working correctly (Right now you can easily push halfway into the red and still not lose much time. I don't think that's right)? And if air temp don't affect tyre performance significantly over the course of a stint why do we need it anyway? We can then just choose between faster and shorter stints or longer and not so fast ones.

P.S.: Atm the only tyre who seems to be affected by air temp significantly are supersofts.

Mediums usually are the fastest tyre towards the end of the stint. I've tested this at Bahrain and at Abu Dhabi both at 40° and all the mediums need is about 10 laps then they start being the best tyre.
