Finished 1st in my first rookie season, and got car design points up quite a bit.
Now im in a pro league, the cars back to were it was at the start of myrookie season.

And iv got 4 1/2 star staff.

Is this normal, it feels like last season was a waist,

Waist? Only if you didn't learn anything worthwhile retaining for next season. 

And yes, it is normal....it happens to everyone in your league. It's the way the game balances things to give everyone a fighting chance.
