Hello!
I really don't understand why my driver (https://igpmanager.com/app/d=driver&id=7158062) is often slower than my main opponent (https://igpmanager.com/app/d=driver&id=7161256)? However, I have better attributes than him.
How it is possible?
Thank you!

The drivers are part of 2 different teams so the possibilities of why one is faster than the other are endless. In races, do you have different strategies, have the other team got more upgraded headquarters and using new engines and fully repaired cars every race. Are you/they using boost in different ways, meaning one of you could end up being faster.
The possibilities are endless as to why one is faster than the other in terms of race-pace.
Also, I can see that one of the stats that is higher in your opponent is Morale which "impacts driver performance". This could also be why your opponent is faster, but the difference would only be tiny if it was down to Morale.

It's not only driver skill, I have driver that only 3star and my teammates 5+, we still race equally, well not always, but at least sometime I can finis in front of him

In the case of one driver having more stars than another and being slower, if the stats are equal, and strategies are the same, it must be in-race things that are making them faster.
They could have tyres that are in a different push level and therefore faster/slower, or could be carrrying less fuel.

I understand that there are a lot of parameters involved. But how do you explain that, even when qualifying, with the same types of tires, there is such a difference?

I’m in the same situation with you, my older-lower stats drivers mostly out-qualified and out-paced my younger-better stat one, even if i change their car. Maybe age matters ?

It might be about your team, not the drivers:
- Repair + Engine replacement each race?
- Driver health 100%?
- Car design, focus on big4?
- Strategy + fuel management?
- Tyre management?
- DRS + BOOST Levels?
Foudre Fine medal 5000 5 years 150 days ago
- Repair + Engine replacement each race? Yes.
- Driver health 100%? Yes
- Car design, focus on big4? Yes (my car is often more developped)
- Strategy + fuel management? We have the same
strategy
- Tyre management? Same strategy
- DRS + BOOST Levels? Same level

How do you know your car is better?
do you have the exact numbers of his car?
i just See my numbers so the only Information how good my car is, is the feedback from race and Quali.
for me it looks like he has the better car. he must do something better in Research than you

It would be interesting having you both post screenshots of your car development here. If we exclude the race, since you say that he usually beat you in qualifying as well. It can't be down to tyre management and/or fuel level since they do nor affect qualifying.
You say that your car is usually more developed? In which areas?
You probably know this but I'll tell you anyway, just in case.
Firstly, you should almost entirely ignore reliability and cooling as they make minimal to no impact.
Tyre and fuel efficiency matters a bit on some tracks but generally not as much as the last four, a.k.a. the BIG 4.
Better his stats in ACC and don't forget to look at your suppliers (I find the Murk engine generally best for example).
If the track us very bumpy, Handling will help you alot.
Long straights followed by sharp turns and braking should help a lot (I haven't noticed a huge difference here but that is what i read about it)
Downforce is good for long high speed corners.
Fix your car according to the track every race. And you should be fine.
That being said, on some tracks where overtaking is easy, trackposition (qualify) matters much less. I would put more time in calculating fuel load and perfect tyre strategy. If you run a 50% league. 3 stints on softs is on most tracks generally king (debatable but it feels good for me). Keep your tyre temp on the dots. Only overheating them for strategic purposes.
And look at your race reports (click on your race finish time) in the last race result page. See how much fuel you end each stint on. If you end with over 1L fuel, it means you are putting too much fuel in to your car.
Sorry if you knew all this, some people suggest that there are hidden traits in drivers, something I suspect too.
In any case, good luck :)

since your league is locked and there are at least 2 Teams with the best score i can't see if he has a better car.
At the moment it looks close should not have a big advantage if he has one at all.
was it before or after deploying Design points, did he already deployed Design points?
was it all the Time that way?
there are so many ways to gain an advantage just in Research.
Additionally you can research your car for each track, on each track other characteristics of the big 4 are better. Thats giving me an advantage.
Whenever i have better qualis it is because i have a better car.
Suppliers can have a massive impact as well, since your cars are not maxed yet.
would be easier to help if the league would be open.
what suppliers do you use?
Foudre Fine medal 5000 5 years 150 days ago
Thank you for taking time to search a solution with me.
M'y suppliers : Merk, Elves, Michigan.
There is only 3 people in this league. And me and another user have the best charachteristics.
was it before or after deploying Design points,
After.
I will try to follow your advice and adapt my car to each circuit, even if I think I often have the best car. I do not see other solutions. The idea of hidden parameters is seductive.
Cole Trickle medal 5000 5 years 149 days ago
I see u deployed ur design points in a way to close as much gaps as possible. That leads to few points via research. But in a 3 team league, there might be no better way.
But, what if your opponent yet has to deploy his points? 10 Points on ACC can be worth a few tenth of a second!
Maybe u should check research right before the race.

He is doing better than you in simple words
Bastian Ba medal 5001 5 years 149 days ago
ok then you have a similar car from overall points and you have a bit better drivers.
Suppliers could be improved just a bit when you choose Bridgerock or Goodweek instead of Michigan.
Check what Cole mentioned.
Based on that it is weird that you get beaten in Quali.
in race it is possible to beat stronger cars and drivers with better race Management, PL, overcut, tire temperature, use of boost DRS and so on....
i did that often:)
Foudre Fine medal 5000 5 years 148 days ago
Ok. Thank you for all your advices. I'll try to follow theim.
