I qualified 17th and 21st here yet literally as the race started I was instantly 18th and 22nd. I know when you zoom in on the track at Monaco not all cars are positioned in grid order (why) so maybe that has something to do with it but I never gained the position back as you usually would.

Chris evidence to show this would be needed for the devs to make a view. If you saw your cars out of grid position, a screen shot would help them crack down the issue.

Only assumption I could make is that your cars rolled off the grid slot Webber style and well, your row-mate got ahead.

But I agree if this is an issue, it'll need to be looked upon. I've forwarded this to Andrew to see if this is currently true and whether a fix can be deployed quickly enough, but suffice to say, this is a first for this complaint.

No it isn't? Last season Mansell qualified P32 and on the grid I was sitting in P31 for whatever reason. I mentioned it on the forums too, in whatever thread it was at the time (I forget now)

I'm not sure if yesterday my cars were sat waiting on grid in the wrong position. It happens everytime at Monaco though as Jason says where even though the standings on the right say you're behind Driver A, on the track you're shown as infront of him. Usually as the race starts it will fix itself and you'll gain the position back straight away.

I started looking literally as the race got underway and I saw that my drivers had already lost one place each. Obviously there's no way for me to give evidence of this unless its possible for somebody to see all the different positions my drivers were in one lap one? A screenie of my timing sheet where it shows my position at the end of lap one would be pointless given cars near the back of the grid overtake each other about 42874274820 times before lap 2.

I've been storing detailed logging about when cars switch position since the game started but I have never made use of it.  I turned it off a couple weeks ago to hugely reduce the size of the log files.  Without them I can't do much to debug this particular problem.  I'll have a look at old logs to see if these positions are swapping right at the start as you say though.

I've heard they have some special asphalt cooling system. So they don't burn tires in the middle of the city. Maybe thats the issue..

My bad, despite having a photographic memory, I didn't recall that issue, but even then I wasn't all that convinced Jason. I generally just put it down to bad starts. Something that was implimented into testing but I don't think it's going to be part of the release, cause well random.. and people hate random despite this is an RnG based game just like every other manager game.

What are you talking about? I qualified P32 and "on the grid" EG before the race even started I was showing in P31. The driver who qualified P31 started from P32, and it even showed Mansell as 31st on the timing board.

Timing boards during the race detail the resulting grid order after lap 1, not on the start of the race.

What are you talking about "during the race" for?

My driver qualified P32, and when I opened the 2D window my driver was showing as P31 on the timing board and my "dot" was also in P31 on the grid. The driver who was supposed to start P31 started from P32.

What's so hard to understand? XD My driver qualified P32 and started the race from P31. There's no logical reason for this.
