Once my drivers level hits red stars, the training becomes somewhat inactive (increases attribute by only 3 points at a time, although using in excess of 10% health). I believe this is because the drivers level is better than the teams level.

Other than playing the game (gaining XP), is there any other way of increasing team level so I get the most out of training?

I ask I as have quite a while before I lever up, so training is useless at the minute.

Any advice appreciated please.
Thanks,
Nath

Hey Nathan,

Levels can only be gained by experience and determine many things for your team, such as:
How far the HQ can be upgraded, which further impacts things like training and car design
The level of drivers and staff for hire
Level XP is earned each time you race, and the higher the level of the competition (relative to you) the faster you will gain level XP.
A level cap applies to each tier in a league. When a manager exceeds the tier level cap their team will receive ballast to regulate their performance to appropriate levels for the tier. This means that even if the best Elite team in the Hall of Fame relegates to Rookie, they get to keep their entire Elite team, but ballast will make them perform equally to a top Rookie team, keeping the league and level of competition fair for all participants.
The team level cap is only enforced in the form of ballast, and not on the management of the team. The manager still has access to HQ, drivers and staff up to their own level, unrestricted by the team level cap, but ballast will regulate performance to a level obtainable by all teams in the same tier. While this ensures fairness it also enables top teams to continue upgrades in preparation for promotion to a higher tier

Yes, once your driver is above your level, he only gains 3% in a training session.

But make no mistake: it is still worth training him!
Example: Lets say, u race each day. Each race takes about 20% health and in the hour of the race, your driver doesn't gain health. The other 23h a day he does.

23h/day x 5%/h = 115%/day
subtract race: 115% - 20% = 95% health a day
95% makes about 9 training session each day. Multiplied by 3% each session, that makes 27% improvement each day. So every 4 days u get a point. Thats not much, but it is something.
By watching ads and not racing every day even more training sessions would be possible.
When I was around your level, I drove in a league with 3 races a week. Watching some ads, I was able to get gains every 2.7 days.

Your current drivers need 40-50 gains to perfection. That might take you 100 - 200 days. Still your drivers are going to hit next level before you do. So keep training them!

Thank you guys, I really appreciate the comprehensive replies! Great job! I’ll certainly continue to train them.

Is there any part of the HQ that I could upgrade that will enhance training whilst my driver is above my teams level? Or does the ‘Simulator - Boost driver training’ part of HQ only apply when my driver is always below my teams level?

When your driver is above your level, his progress will always be 3% per training session, nothing you can do to change that. You can however impact the amount of trainings by having a good doctor. With a 5 star doctor, you only lose 10% health per training session, with a 4/4,5 star doctor you lose 11%, and so on. A higher level doctor has of course a higher salary, so up to you if you think the extra training sessions are worth it.

If you can afford buying extra spare parts and engines. Another option could be to focus on doing quick races when your drivers become red. 20 races = 1 driver experience.  You need 380 races to go from 1-20 in driver experience [STAT]
