Hi Im writing this as im waiting for Java to load the game for my race. The race already started and it is loading. I think 10 mins before the race is too little for people who has bad internet connection. its takem me over 15 mins already for it load and it hasnt yet. Im sure my tyres are already destroyed and my race is ruined already. I would like to suggest a revert back to 30 mins prep or 20 mins at least and be able to load the player at least 15mins before the race for us with slow connection. I live in a small country where the govt is too stupid to upgrade our internet connection. So please IGP, hear my call!! thanks

You make an interesting point Akisch.
It never occured to me that managers might have this type of problem - something quite beyond their control.

Hi Akisch,
I had the same issue as you. My internet connection is so bad that it took me 45 minutes to dowload the update. I mean when you are using 2D.
In the meantime you can use the live timing which allows you at least to control your tyres temperature.
As a suggestion, IGP developers should post in the "News and Announcements" about the release of a new version of the 2D applet so that we can properly plan for dowloading it.
For example you can start spectating any race and it will start the download and it should be finished by the time your race starts.
I don't think we should go back to the old time for preparation because this one is much more interesting. We had in one race the weather changed from rain to cloudy less than 30 minutes before the race starts. It allowed all of us to switch to a dry setup and strategy, whereas in the old system we would have been stucked with whatever strategy we had.
As for you, next time try the live timing to control your push level, it shall help you.

Thanks Ethan and yeah i did use live timing but this one also took too long to load and i got in mid race. So i already lost places. Also I didnt update Java for a long time as im still using an old version as i was having lots of bugs with the new Java versions. With the new update it seems loading time has increased quite a bit. I know there was more features added to the game but my connection could not handle it.
