Again one of my posts got deleted. Yes, it was not a friendly post. I was joking about a players complaint. If iGP doesn't want this kind of posts, that's ok and I have to deal with it.

My point is this: please inform me about it!
- message me.
- leave the posts but delete it's body (or replace it with some text explaining why it got romoved).

Just don't delete it silently.

That's actually a good idea. I agree with you Cole.

At least a message like: "Your post was deleted by such and such" could be generated informing the player that his message was deleted and why.

Hi big nipple.. Maybe if you stopped commenting on any thread that didn’t help no one solve a question, a new player’s doubt, your comments would not be deleted.
Don’t forget you’ve been a rookie too, and anly God knows how many you’ve done.
So sometimes non-structive humirosm is not welcome becuase a lot of your answer are like a constipation problem, as soon as someone reads your answers the problem goes away!
Good game  ;)

Hello,

I deleted your comment myself, although it could have been useful to notify you of this action. Moderators can do this without notifying you, as long as they consider that it does not contribute anything to the issue in question. I was explaining this afternoon why we should do this to my team of moderators, I don't mind explaining it publicly.

If you accustom a community to doing off-topic or jokes on other people's issues this can lead to a small sector of trolls, that although some of them are simply looking for fun (as is your case) others can follow these steps just to hurt and offend. Finally this can turn into a toxic community that you don't enjoy.

I also gave an example that we can compare to this specific situation (ours is a new player who asks a question about how the game works). Imagine that they open a new restaurant on your street and you suffer from some food allergy or intolerance, then you go to the restaurant to find out about it. While you are being attended by a very polite waiter there is another customer who is making jokes about your problem and your doubts. Wouldn't you think it would be wrong if the waiter or person in charge of the restaurant didn't intervene to stop this?

I repeat, I know that you only seek amusement in an innocent manner, but not everyone always accepts these jokes and they may find them offensive or inappropriate. It is also important to maintain order in the forum to ensure its proper functioning.

Finally I let you know that we will work on a new system to let users know why their comment has been deleted, to avoid these misunderstandings. Although I guarantee you that it is always for justified reasons, on my part or on the part of any of the moderators. We always work hard to keep the forum as the nice place it is.

Cole

Yeah, do it. I am not racing atm. ;)

You should play instead, but maybe that's what you want so that your reputation will constantly hook up to 10000. :))
