recently teams without attending managers  keep effecting races. They boost in to the middle or front of trains, either putting serious contenders on the back foot with extra track position and time to make up on those ahead, or giving the leader free DRS at the last moment, handing the win to them. They never stay in the fight for top positions, rarely get points at all, depending on the total attendance. Please could we have the Ai boosting removed as these problems are to irratic to account for and are just annoying. If people disagree, please explain why.

I agree. Its also annoying when you get to the race 5 mins late and your AI has used some of your boost

But if you are unable to attend then you could end up with no points.

I would say you should be able to disable boost in setup for AI (allowing late arrival) and maybe a setting to use all boost on the end of the race if not used (ai mode only) but fully disabling it would compromise managers not able to attend for legitimate reasons

When I started this game i joined a league that ended up racing at 4am my local time and therefore haven't been able to attend any of the races.... had the AI not been able to use the boost then it would have hindered my chances to take any wins.

Arguably the game shouldn't have forced you to race at 4am in the first place. Maybe if players were actually recommended races at a reasonable time, no one would need Autokers and we could remove the system altogether. Either that or make AI use all their boost at the end of the GP, it's not fair to punish or help active managers at a random point in the GP because of a few lines of code.

This is why I suggested that lapped cars shouldn't get drs from cars that have lapped them already, but the majority of people disagreed with it. It can wreck the race of the front runners, some solution should be found...

But that is true in real F1. It can be a strategy to roll out for a short bit and get drs to protect an overtake.

I am pro AI boost. It just seems to me that the algorithm when the AI does boost has changed.

Regarding the fact of random AI boost, it's true. But everyone may benefit or loose from it. I liked the way how AI used to boost. The new way it utilizes boost I'm not so fond of. If you think AI boost hasn't change tell me. But in my experience it has changed. Probably in some of the updates.

Yeah it works in real f1 because the lapped car is unlikely to re-pass the car that has just lapped them, they also don't have Kers to close the gap. In the game it is usually players that have not setup that are lapped that cause the problem. They should still get DRS from cars they are on the same lap as to keep it fair. We don't have blue flags so it can sometimes take another lap to get back in front or the use of KERS

The Ai never really get points anyway - never more than 8th and even that is miraculous

So the 50 wins I’ve had without attending any races have been a miracle, or just that being higher level was enough to beat manually activated boost
