after talking with someone else who plays this game with me he mentions that his designer is pumping out newly designed parts within 2 days of the last one upto about 85%, thats odd because when i design parts the dates grow from a few days to half a month if not longer.

i have replaced my designer recently after learning about this and found out skills and level is roughly the same but the design gap still exists. i dont know if there is a problem but mounting any type of title attack is extremely difficult because i can not produce these parts in a timely manner.

you will be able design new part within 2 days after the last, as long as you have enough designers working on that part, so to solve your problem, try adding more designers by going to facilities >offices. If you can not add any more or are not at the right level then i would recommend decreasing commercial staff to 1 and adding those to designers. hope this helps, i dont think i've explained it too well but fundamentally: you need to increse the number of designers working on a part.

problem is i cant fit any more designers since i have 15 each... i need the funds from the merchandising and a have a few there and the rest are all involved in the engineering side.

Just focus on 1 part at the same time... don't do them all at once.

i get parts out regularly within 2-3 days with about 10%-20% improvement each time, only have 11 designers to each part and it has been like this for some time.

so no answer as to what the underlying issue is yet?

Jason, Not sure if I have understood your question. If you have 15 designers on each part you should be getting new parts every other day, unless you have reached 100% with any part. Are you developing for this season or the next?

That is only up to a point. As your current component percentage goes up, it takes longer to receive new parts. Past about 35-40% you'll need more than 15 designers on a component to get upgrades every other day.

clearly some players can get parts out every other day, but in comparison to these teams its taking me a lot longer even get upgrades to the car, if what herak and james state to be true, then today the 20th, you would get next upgrade parts on 22nd 1pm, then 24th 1pm, then 26th, 28th.... to me i upgrade parts and it goes from 20th to 22nd 1pm, then 29th, 15th next month and then 30th november... or something similarly unrealistic.

i can not even reach 100% of car design edwin because the design of each part would take an amount of time that is impossible reach within each season. i would like to reach 100% and would understand that when reach from 85% to 100% would take a bit longer, no problem there, its just starting your design focus for the season from 10% to 100%.

It is my experience that once you have the wind tunnel and test rig, available at level 8, 15 designers per part are the maximum you could need. Unless I am remembering things incorrectly?

I have both the wind tunnel and the test rig and here toward the end of my season I needed 35-40 designers to get a two-day upgrade. I recently stopped development on my car, as I have reached 100% all around for this season and a healthy level for next.

have those as well, both are set to the maximum quality upgrades and have been for months. recently hit level 10 and got a youth academy and i have an issue about that, but thats an entirely different topic.

I just logged in as you to check, Jason. It looks like you're using auto-assign and not editing the numbers manually at all, as all the designers are distributed evenly among components with 15 on each. Are you aware that you can change the amount assigned to each individual component? I tested assigning 5 more designers (bringing the total to 20) on your Chassis and instead of having the upgrade in a week you'd have it today.

Additionally, your league does not race every single day, which increases timescales of design upgrades relative to leagues that race daily.

Essentially, I'm satisfied that nothing is wrong here. Try experimenting.

As your current-season design advances, you will need more designers per part to continue getting the every-other-day development.

I go with 83 designers every season. At the start, I can do 11 designers on each part and get development every other day. But as my car gets higher in development percentage, I increasingly have to add designers per part, until at around 60-70% I have to have nearly 40 designers PER PART to get new items on the same schedule.

The best solution is to split your designers so that at least one or two parts gets developed every day.

Jason, Jack is saying that 15 is not enough

Jason, you should not assign designers to all parts. Just assign as many designers to a single part untill you will see it will be developed for the next day and do so for the next part(s).

It won't be possible to design all parts at once but you will probably be able to develop 3 or 4 parts a day. The next day you assign designers to the other parts you didn't develop and so on. That's the only way to develop fast.
