Fuel glitch (and another glitch)

What did you try to do?
At my pit stop I put 11 laps of fuel in (I pitted at the end of lap 31 and the race was 42 laps) but I ended up running out of fuel on the last lap. To make things worse on the 2nd to last lap it was gonna auto pit me so I wouldn't run out of fuel but it randomly cancelled the pit stop just before I came in to pit.
EDIT: There needs to be a limit on how much boost somebody can use in a single lap because today somebody used all their boost on the final lap and overtook me on the line for 1st.

I had the same tonight apart from I lost 1st and a possible 3rd.

Did you run at a high push level after coming out of the pits? If so that would account for higher fuel usage

No I ran in the same push mode for most of the race
