Hi,
What about hiding the status bar of KERS for opponents? This shouldn't be shown how much KERS left when a player uses it. Just the fact that KERS is in use can be public but not the bar which clearly indicates that a player has a specific amount of KERS still.

It would make strategy more uncertain.
