What did you try to do?
I was bidding on a CD.
Bidding war proceeded to knockout round 5.
What happened instead?
I clicked "bid now" for this round, however, the bid now greyed out (note that only this "bid now" option greyed out) and there were three white dots next to bid, indicating the request was in progress, however, those white dots stayed till the end of the round and the bid was not registered as such thereby costing me 5 tokens spent so far (up to knockout round 4) and also losing the CD.
I had more than enough tokens, so that was not the problem.
Did the problem happen while using wi-fi, mobile data, or both?

Can the bug be reproduced?
Some observations:
1. bidding on a "CD"
2. leveled up last race.
3. had 3 or more managers bid (including myself)
4. I was bidding when there were 15secs remaining for each round
5. some managers had non-English names (characters)
I have a screenshot of the bid with three dots (indicating in progress) as well if that'd help.
Sorry, if this does not help. Never go into bidding wars, so never experienced this.
Additional comments:
I'm aware you lose all tokens when you lose a bid, however, I wanted to bid again (and had sufficient tokens) however the game bugged out, I lost the bid and all tokens and the star CD as well.
