Pre custom schedules, when you were tied for a position in the league the drivers would be place according to who got they're best placing first if they're best placings were the same. With custom schedules that no longer seems the case as it seems the circuits still rank in the order they used to appear before custom schedules. For example it seems that if Australia was the last round in a custom schedule the game would still rank any Australian result as if it was the first round meaning the person who did best in Australia will always finish higher in a tie no matter which round it was.  Can someone confirm or deny this and maybe put it on a list of things to do for a fix

Hi Andy

Earlier today (before your latest race) I reviewed the Elite tier standings of your league and the results from the first three races. It does not appear that Australia is being classified as race 1 as you suspect, it seems to be a a continuation of the longstanding bug where the tie break calculation uses the best finish to rank teams with equal points but for reasons unknown, ignores race 1.

This was your league standings after three races...

And here are the results of the first three races showing the best finishing position for the teams on zero points...

As you can see the team who should be ranked highest of those on zero points is Davern GP by virtue of their 12th place in Austria but it seems the Austria race has been ignored.

This still has me confused because if it is simply a case of ignoring the Austria result (race 1) the rankings remain incorrect as Davern GP should be ranked higher than BM Racing because of their 19th place in Germany against BM Racing's 23rd place in Australia.

This has been escalated to Jack and I'm hearing that he applied a fix to the tie break algorithm this morning. Has it worked? Watch this space LOL.

Thanks for that piece of work Kev. If the fix is retrospective then no, if not I'll look again after this afternoon's round 5. Usually that bug was rectified after round 2 though was it not so something has recently changed. Also if it was just a case of ignoring  Austria, then Davern should have still been above BM

It hasn't worked Davern's best result is still his twelfth and Flying dutchman's last 2 results were 23rd and 13th, but Dutchman is still above Davern

Hi Andy

Thanks for the report. I'll flag this thread for the iGP Team and with any hope they'll respond directly. I don't know the exact fix that Jack applied but I imagine it will only work going forward, I don't expect he will be able to apply a retrospective fix.

We have one race to go in this season and Sebastian Davern is still in the bottom 2 in elite due to the aforementioned glitch with the game not recognizing the first race result. If he goes down due to this glitch would it be possible for him to be compensated with some tokens or some such gift. Thanks

Hi Andy

Both teams have now had a best finish in 12th place but Davern gp did it in Austria (Race 1) and FLY1NG F15HY in France (Race 8). So assuming neither team finishes higher than 12th tomorrow, if the tie break algorithm was working as intended Davern would remain in Elite and FLY1NG F15HY would be bumped down to Pro.

Compensation and/or manually adjusting the league is not a decision I can make but I will escalate it to the iGP Team so that it is reviewed.

Apologies to Davern for the problem, Kev.

Phew.

I believe the bug has been fixed so next season you shouldn't have this issue.

I checked if the bug is fixed in my league, first race in Australia the 3rd of December.
Unfortunately, no case where the first race could make a difference in the ranking :(

We've had minor position issues for ages in our league but luckily, they've yet to affect any promotion /relegation places
