Hey guys, each league in the community are suffering from a problem. Specifically a low population in Pro Tier. Majority of teams are found in Rookie or Elite.

This problem is simply because people only use Pro as a stepping stone to get into Elite, so that they can participate against top teams.

Can we change the format to

  • Junior Series

  • Main Series

What should we do with existing Pro Teams? promote/demote between the Tiers. Bottom Y in the Pro get pushed to the Y slots Rookie, and Top X get pushed into the X slots available for Elite Tier at the start of the next season.

What if we have too many teams and cannot fill both Tiers? Firstly the system should detect Teams that are accessed from the same IP (B Teams), and remove the lesser.

What if we still have too many teams? We'll need to come to the point that teams need to be dropped altogether from the League.

Alternatively

All Pro teams become rookie teams, and if there are more than 16 Pro+Rookie teams, then they split even into two Junior Series. Only the winners of Both teams can move up to the Main Series and the Bottom two of the Main Series will drop to each Junior Series.

All in all, there is a vacuum in the middle series which is hurting the game.

I've found it to be the opposite problem in my league. I guess there are a lot of leagues, and when there are as many leagues as there are teams, of course there will be an activity issue.

Pro is needed because you need that slight step up in competition to prepare for elite. If you jump straight from, eg an inactive rookie group in your first season to elite as a level 8 manager, you will probably quit before the end of that season.

Once, in my former League (which was very active), I was able to win rookie one season, then pro the next. After moving into elite as a level 12, I went from winning several races to coming outside the top 20. This was very frustrating and went on for several seasons. Just imagine someone dominating a very inactive pro tier and moving into elite as a level 7 or 8 and half the grid are level 20s?

I kinda have a tier idea

Elite
40 cars - 18 races
Bottom 3 or 6 teams get demoted

Pro
28 cars - 14 races
First 3 or 6 teams get promoted
Last 3 or 6 teams get demoted

Rookie
2 rookie tiers
20 cars - 10 races
Last 2 races combine both tiers into a 25 car race (with DNQs), points are worth double.
Tiers can have different schedules from each other (so you can do like a rookie east/west, north/south, etc.)
Players have option to choose which rookie league they want (can also change during offseason)
First 2 or 4 teams in each tier gets promoted

rookie might be a little confusing, but I think this could work out well

Sorry, but different number of races looks like a nonsense. Rookies would have to wait 4 races until Pro finish their season, because of promotion and relegation. Also pro would have to wait for Elite, which automatically means that rookies would have much more non-race days than race days.
