2 teams same points. Who wins?

I'm currently 4th with 7point lead on 5th place. If he finishes 3rd and I finish 6th, we will have the same ammount of points. So who would get promoted in this situation?

The one that finished the highest in the season will get promoted.
If you finished 3rd at most, and he only achieved 4th, you will get promoted.

If both finished 3rd, the first one to finish 3rd will win.

For a while, when schedule was not custom, the Australia Grand Prix was not taken into account in the result.
Now, is it Australia Grand Prix that is not taken into account ? The first Grand Prix ? Is it fixed ?

With the fix being aplied, i assume all GP is taken into account now.

I checked if that is true in my league, first race in Australia the 3rd of December.
Unfortunately, no case where the first race could make a difference in the ranking :(
