Fellas, something just happened...

On this race, http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/233490#race my driver B Klein finished inches ahead of L Phillips. I know because I saw it in the 2D and the final results there pointed out that he came in 5th and Phillips in 6th. I even had a go with Jake Stergios, the manager of the team L Phillips is on, about what happened, that he should kers more to overtake me.

Now when I go to the race results, I find that Phillips finished ahead of Klein? How is that possible? What happened?

Not pleased here...

I can atleast second this XD I was the one who noticed it haha. The race was close but Klein did finish ahead both on the track and the 2D timing board, and then in the results it's showing Klein behind.

Yeah, at first I didn't notice it but Jason pointed that out to me. What gives guys? Now the 2D can't be relied upon for close finishes like that?

This happened once before when two cars came in at exactly the same time (within 1 thousandth of a second).  In this case though, there were 3 thousandths of a second between the cars so I'm surprised the ordering got confused here.

The simulator logs agree with the web results.  Phillips definitely did (just) beat Klein.  However the logs also show that the Philips will have been incorrectly shown behind Klein on the live timings.  It looks like the status of the two cars have been processed in the same phase during the execution of the simulation.  Usually the positions of the cars are correctly computed even if the state of later car is handled before the earlier car during the same phase.   However, in this case (at the race end) the live timings were wrongly affected by the order of execution of the simulation of each car.

So, sorry for the confusion this created, but I can assure you that the published results are accurate.
