We are in Russian IGP and in free test I try the wet and soft tires, preferring the wet ones.

But at start both my cars were with intermediate tires causing an additional  piT stop and losing the race and the head of the ranking.
It’s non possible From you a so heavy and garish error
Cancel the race.
All the season in going to ******
I can send all the images that you need

Hi Luke,

I investigated you report this morning. It appears that you misunderstand on how the advanced strategy panel will work in these conditions.

You selected Wets as your main stint tyre and then told the driver that if the track is over 0.5mm or 1mm wet then to swap to inters.

So when it comes to making the decision to move to the Rain tyre it should use inters which it did.

The race started with the track being close to 4mm.

If you have evidence in your images stating your setup was different, then please do share.

But for your scenario above, if you knew it was going to a wet race, may I suggest putting inters in your main strategy and then putting wets in your advanced strategy after a certain amount of mm, or put wet in both main stint and advanced strategy.

If you just wanted it to follow your main strategy, then there is the option to ignore the advanced strategy. The advanced strategy also gets disabled if you attend the race at any point.

Thanks,
So you’re telling that in unuseful using a double strategy if wheather conditions could change during race?
When I choose to start with wets and I think that water on the track could decrese, I tell to all my team that when rain in less (max 1-2 mm), automatically my drivers should return in pit and change the tire to inters.
This is a strategy.
On the contrary, I can’t believe that if I order to start with wets during a food, the computer decides instead of me, ruining my race.
It’s an error from every point of view you want to see it.
After 2 championships, you leave that teams less strong and lower level can win?
It’s a bit like Williams could win a world champ.
I don’t like this.

No sure you are aware, but you can change your starting tyres up to 30 seconds before a race start, in wet/mixed weather conditions. This helps to greatly to eliminate any errors made in incorrectly setting up your 'Advanced Settings'

Lower level teams should be able to challenge the higher level teams in this game, otherwise those managers would simply quit the game, if they kept finishing miles off the points. Lower teams will still have an inherent disadvantage with KERS, DRS and Design Points though.

Williams F1 have won 16 World Championships in fact (9 World Constructors Championships, and 7 World Driver Championships) Rich history in F1, and although times appear rough now, they deserve more respect from a minority of people here give :)

Are you sure to have understood the problem?
On the contrary, I’m losing my time.
I selected wet tires for race because there was heavy rain. I told if rain’d deacreased to less than 2 mm, the computer could have changed ti inters.
Be careful, only if rain decreased!
Understood?
The chiocce of using directly inters was an error of your system

There is no decrease setting in the top Advanced Settings though. It says 'above' (in the English version at least) meaning that top Advanced Setting will only activate once that water depth has been reached above. So in your case, you selected 'use Intermediate, 2mm' top Advanced Setting. When the race started at close to 4.0mm, Intermediates was used, as it was above the 2.0mm you selected, and hence activated.

Just did a quick check of how the Italian version describes the setting, and I (although not a native Italian speaker) think perhaps the translation can be improved, from 'Se sta piovendo e l'acqua raggiunge' to 'Se sta piovendo e l'acqua è sopra'
