KERS issue

In the league race tonight, I was watching my drivers battle it out with some of the other in my league. Then someone joked that they passed me in DRS and I KERS passed them. I laughed saying that I hadn't touched the KERS button at all.Then I was asked why half of my KERS was gone. And I looked, and they were right. I double checked to make sure driver controlled KERS was off, which it was. Yet, KERS was still be used without being prompted. Has anyone else been having similar issues?

Yes this is an old bug that is yet to be addressed.

When you untick the driver controlled kers, retick it, and untick it again. Repeat 5 times or so.

Fixes the problem 100%.

Happens to me all the time.

This issue seems to be pretty random, because I haven't had this bug for a long time already, I untick it once before the race starts and drivers never use it by themselves.

A similar KERS issue happened to me in my last race also.  Fixed it, but a little too late than what I wanted.

I'll try that trick if my KERS is acting up like that again Jason, thanks.  Always waiting until lap 4 or 5 to get it ready when I need it.

In addition to Jason's excellent advice, when you 1st login to a race & look at your settings if the 'driver controlled kers' box is empty, you may find they use kers on their own. Repeatedly clicking here will fix that too.

im presing the kers button when loaded but nothing happens , and kers it goes till the race end , but it doesn show a sign that its working

Zekrija, How is your KERS setting? Under settings in the top right hand corner, do you have it controlled by the driver or by you?

Zekirja, In the top right hand corner of the timing & live control screen, there is a button 'Settings'.

Click this & you will have a new box in the middle of the screen marked 'Settings'.

The lowest tick box is marked 'Driver controlled KERS'

If this is checked, your driver wil decide when you use KERS. If you un-check it, you wil control the kers, via the button next to your drivers details in the bottom left hand corner of the screen marked 'KERS'.

Pressing this button will engage KERS for that particular driver & will be active until you release the button. The quanitity of KERS remaining is indicated by the blue line.

I've had this issue a few times as well. It's normally as they exit the pits for me.. and it's normally just 1 driver that it effects as well.

Sometimes my kers doesn't respond when i click on the button. This is happening to me almost every race.
I use it many times during the race but it doen't respond everytime and it's killing me :(

I check uncheck 'driver controled kers', change from one driver to the other and back, and sometimes (not often) i manage to get it working again.
Sometimes i refresh 2d and start working again.

Interesting: it stops working for one driver but not for the other.

is there a solution?

Otherwise, it might be input or connection lag but I can't really think of a deep explanation

well, lol, no, it didn't run out.
connection lag could be but, the strage thing is that the other driver doesn't have this problem.
