I wish somebody may point out what I'm missing if they can. So last season I had my car parts around 70%, with the slider moved all to the next season where the performance should have increase by around 20% for the next season. So I was assuming that at the beginning of this season my model's performance should be around 90%. However, when the season ended and the new model was refitted, my performance is around 25%. Can somebody bring some light to me please?

Thanks.

When each season ends, parts get reset to your 'Next Season' level rather than adding to what your designs reached in the current season. The slider just determines the ratio of percentage increase of each individual design update between this season and next. eg 10% this season 1% next season or 5% this season 5% next season. Summing up, your 70% design car was in effect thrown out at the end of the current season, and they bring in the 20% designed car.

Did I understand well that the model I had last season would be thrown out and bring in an inferior model?

Does that mean that at the end of the season you throw away the design you had developed during that season and for next season you'll start from scratch again (apart from what you would have design for next season)? It's not making sense to me :(

Basically, the next season performance % is the level your car will be at when a new season starts.

If you want a better car, you have to find a balance between developing for current season and next season.

ok, develop your car up tp 70% the FIRST season, and then, put +20% u had in next season tab together so now you have 90%, in 2-3 races you will have 100%, and now, what?? whats the mission of the game now? you have the car totally perfect forever.

No, thats not the way, the car reset to keep competitibity, and keep designing EVERY season, be more intelligent and dont design all to actual season, think about your objetives, and design for the next season all you can, because more you develop the next season, the better car you will have, but worse car you have in actual season, is what you need to think every time you design something, for this season or for next season? is more dinamic like this.

So let's say that somebody that registered today focuses all for next season, and another player that has been here for around 2 seasons focuses everything for this season ... the newbie will have a better car for the next season?

The newbie is going to have very low level staff, so even if the they start with a car advantage, they have a driver and staff disadvantage to overcome. The more experienced player with better staff will also make bigger gains throughout the season, catching and eventually passing them, if they weren't already faster because of having superior drivers and staff from the start.
