Hello,

Sorry for the question than can be a common one, but even with the guide written by Kevin Bissell, I don’t understand the design points of my team after joining a new league.

I have joined a league (in its second season) in Pro tier. The season has already started (since one race). My CC (5 stars) and my team have the same level.
But in each categories I have only 4 points, except weakness (2 points) and strength (6 points).

Please, can you explain to me why my design is so low ?

Because you joined the league after the season already started. If you want to avoid this phenomena I recommend joining a league in between seasons.

How many design points (DP) you get, if you however join a new league during an ongoing season depends on how far the season has already progressed. The exact formula how to calculate your DP during any stage of the season Kevin has written numerous times in other posts. I don't know the exact distribution by heart, but it isn't much.

To mods: if any of you want to insert a link to the post where Kevin explained this in more detail, please feel free to do so. Thanks.

Thank you for your answer, Johnny. I understand now.
So, joining after a couple of races is really disadvantageous.

Design Balancing when changing league

Unless you're tired of winning, entering an active, competitive league at any time other than during the season break is a bad idea.

I will know it for the next time. :)
Thanks to both of you for your quick answers.
