Can you guys please improve this?
I am looking for a league at 8PM local time with 1 car and when I put that in the filter all I get is 2PM leagues. Completely irrelevant to what I need

It's a problem a lot of people have but it seems the devs don't see it as an issue or aren't telling anybody that they're sorting it out.
Try positing this same thread in the leagues & events sub-forum to get the attention of more hosts, hopefully then you'll be able to find a 1 car league at 8 local (I don't know what time zone you are in)

The problem seems to be that if the search can't find enough leagues matching the filter options and the internal rules (free spot in your tier and not the league you're already in) to fill the list then the search engine loosens or disregards those filter options and ends up with results that are all over the place and mostly useless. If that happens you might get better results with enabling password protected, 1 and 2 car leagues and finally other languages one by one as those boost the number of 'valid' leagues and thus could enable those other filters (but on the downside one of the wrong kind might push out a league you're interested in out of the list again).
This workaround doesn't mean a rework of the league search wouldn't be a good thing, though.
