Points for fastest lap

Mirroring F1, I feel like they should be a feature for the player with the fastest lap each race being given a point. It would give lower teams something to aim for if they aren't competing for top 10's and trying to avoid relegation.
However, I feel like the league hosts should be able to turn this off or on as it probably isn't for everyone.

If you want to give the point to whoever sets the FL no matter where they are then everyone from 12th downwards would pit on the penultimate lap and fit supers. It would be chaos

In all honesty, I can't think of anything worse. It would make mockery of the race, you'd have 20 cars tootling round for 90% of the race, not boosting at all, in fact, it would be pointless even watching the race. Log on for the start to make sure AI doesn't take control, then go and have a nap for 30 minutes before coming back for the final 5 laps. Yeah, great. 

you might think of entering one point for a fast lap, all the players will sit and wait for the last lap in the race to burn out the kers and get this very one point. complete nonsense! One point is nothing compared to the fight for first place. Kers will burn precisely for the struggle for a better place, and not for a fast lap. Did you miss the part where I said 20 cars? In a full division there are 32, I was assuming that the leading 12 would race properly, it's the rest who'll save their boost. Who is going to be in 20th place and think, I know, I'll use my boos to raise myself up to 15th, instead of waiting til the end and go for that FL point? 

I repeat again. I do not mind if I will give 1 point for a fast lap.This will be an additional motivation for those who cannot get into the points zone. And no matter how many pilots will try to get it. It will be great!!! If you have problems with the fact that someone will cause chaos in the race, as you put it, then these are your problems!
