Hi,

I dont know if this was suggested before but i cant find a thread about it but would like to suggest an improvement to the YDA.

Firstly, a checkbox to select multiple young drivers to boot them from the academy to make space instead of booting 1 by 1.

Secondly we would like to know what their skills are going to be before hiring them. I think this one would be difficult to do and hopefully is being implememted in the new update. But the first one would be really nice. It should be the same coding as the mailbox one to select multiple emails and mark as read.

Thanks

Agreed about the checkbox, but in the mean time you can already kinda do that. Just click the boot and instead of moving your mouse over to click ok just push enter. Can boot all 5 in 1 second.

As for the stats, I believe that isn't possible because the drivers stats aren't actually generated until you either hire them or boot them to the market.

I might implement this suggestion in the next update if I find time.

That's correct. I explained this in another thread before but the drivers don't actually exist or have skills until you take them out of the academy. It was designed as it is because whenever you recruit a raw young talent in reality, you don't know "he/she going to be exactly this good and perform exactly this well".

There is always an element of randomness in new talent. McLaren recruited Sergio Perez for example, and he had already been racing in F1 but still they couldn't predict exactly how he would perform, and had to train him up once he got to their team. I wanted to reflect that reality in the design of the system.

Yeah i was kinda sure the stats would be a long shot. Also I do not want to boot all of them at once!! Because I want to keep some lvl 20 i found and train them to 100% thats why I asked for a checkbox.

You don't have to boot all at once. It was just an expression sorry (It's Youen here)

Just click the boot of the driver you want to remove, then push enter, then move your mouse straight to the next driver you want to boot, and push enter again. If you do this fast enough you can remove all the drivers you want before the page refresh. You can just skip over drivers you don't want to boot, just don't click on them lol.

I've been doing this for months, it works fine.

But ultimately yes a checkbox would be nicer haha xD

Then it is a crap shoot.  I sell it and stop wasting my time.

Bill, you can find gems in the YDA, it is worth keeping, some guys stay on 1 country every race and I keep going A to Z through the countries and both work, I have 2 level 20 drivers in it right now, 1 at 65kg and 77kg.  It is a crap shoot but then the luck of finding a driver on the market can be a crap shoot too and it adds an interesting dimension to get talent in house rather than search for it.  Money shouldn't be an issue, even spending 500k per race on the YDA I still make a couple million every race.
