Have been promoted to pro division but I am still only level 5 so I can't get kers just yet.
Everyoe else in the field has kers and where around 1.75 seconds faster around melbourne (fastest one)
How much faster will I be when I do get kers?

On new tyres if you kers for a whole lap it's worth roughly 4 seconds.

So what would you say it would be worth per lap using it equally each lap around melbourne?

People don't really use kers like that in iGP, so it's impossible to say. You get 90 seconds for the entire race, mostly people just use it for extra speed boost in DRS zone to pass people or to pass slower cars / cars who have just left the pits on cold tyres.

OK,thanks alot Eton,it's a good job I asked this before I got the kers because I didn't know it has to last the whole race but  that seems much better for a game like this.Might be a few races before I get kers because I am finishing near the back which is slowing down my increase in xp. I bet a lot of people have had this issue when moving up to pro.

Certianly did DJ, But once i got it in that season it didnt really help me a great deal other then overtake a few back markers that were tough to get past and slowing me down. IT didnt make great advancements up the field BUT it definalty helps as you progress up the ranks and the racing gets closer towards the pointy end, where it plays a part in having "the complete package" for winning races. and by that I mean best strategy of the day with decent driver training and a solid car.

KERS would definitely help, but it's not everything. There are a lot of teams that have rough times even with KERS. There are a lot of factors to consider ... strategy, car design, drivers' health (really important) ...

Yes,I don't reckon I would be jumping straight to the front when i do get it but last night I pulled off a 1 stop strategy around malaysia that noone else tried so I got my first point and by the end I was about 10 seconds off  a pack of 3 cars so I would like to think over the course of the race kers would have gained them that 10 seconds and maybe abit more. I know my car performance is abit low in comparison even though I spent half of last season fully developing for this season because I had already won the rookie championship.

I wouldn't say KERS on its own is worth 10 seconds in any situation, but it could be depending on how you use it. Brett's point about using it to get past pesky backmarkers is definitely a situation where you could gain 10 seconds indirectly, as getting past quickly could mean getting into clean air and running at your own race pace instead of getting bottled up and losing four or five seconds a lap. If you can use just a bit of it to get ahead of a slower car it can save you time you would otherwise have lost.
