Get Murray Walker A Knighthood

I was thinking about this the other day and with half of the muppets who get OBE's MBE's and so on... WHY WHY WHY the hell does Murray not have a knighthood???


I've found a Facebook page and I think we should get on board and start this properly.

I know a few of you will have things like Twitter and so on.. So I would like for all who wish to join in.. to get behind me and lets make this happen.

We need to SPAM everyone from BBC F1 and Sky Sports to the FIA.

I sort of a agree with Japp, but I'm not getting at your goodwill, Rob.
iGP should not be making political statements.  Even if they do agree with the idea.

Personally getting a knighthood for saying daft thinks isn't my idea of a good idea.  Having said that, upteen politicians get them for that very reason!!  I just don't agree with knighthoods - full stop.

Jake. I can understand, but what he has done for the sport over many many years / the kids he inspired / putting the sport on another level is what this is about.

The guy is 90 yrs old and should be recognised for all of his work over 50+ years... It's the same as any job. After a certain ammount of years, when you retire, you should get a handshake from the bosses and a momento for the work and service you have done.. This is the equivilant for someone with his stature.

Yes I understand where you are coming from Rob and agree he has had a massive influence on the popularity of F1.    Does he even have an OBE, MBE or whatever?
