Someone made a thread in portuguese subforum asking something that would certainly help automation of those spreadsheet stats.

He asked a separation between driver name and team name.

That could help. Also if there were positions 1,2, and 3 instead of a blank cell lol

While I applaud you for your efforts, the Tables you have presented remind me a lot of the first ones I ever created when I started doing them for my own League. Throughout my time creating tables and charts for my League I've looked and searched to improve them again and again making them bigger, better more colourful. We tried fun quotes for Season 6 taking on the Role of the manager talking to a reporter. but what I have now and what I am about to show you, is just a sample of the work I do.

Again these are just a sample of what I do, these tables are the final set from last season. I try to match the Teams colour in the tables to those on the corresponding cars. You'll see the race points from that race, each drivers total points and their position in the Drivers standings represented by the colours fading from green to yellow to red for those with the lowest points. A championship chart shows each teams progress throughout the season and the table representing their final tally.

Lap charts from the Elite Teams show the progress of each Elite Driver. Originally I had them all together as you have on your points chart, but it became a mess and completely unreadable, so I divided it. and of course you'll see the final Table of every winner of every season we have had.

I dont tell and show you these to say 'I'm better than you' I tell and show you to give you a boost, and allow you to see just what you can do with a little imagination, planning and knowhow.

So Michal, you do your tables, you build them, shape them, make them unique and special, bigger, bolder, brighter. Make them yours and bring them to life.

I have to say that I can't tell you just how important and useful these tables and charts are.
They tell the story of a race or season so that you can see, at a glance, where you went wrong and your opposition got it right, or vice versa.
I can't thank Mike enough for his hard work and time ???

Wow Mike Carter, those are some really 90’s graphics, reminds me of an late 90’s Championship manager. You obviously put so much into those spreadsheets

It's always nice to look at the statistics in a sport, having more would be nice ?

Thx Matt, before this version, I tried a lot of different ways of adding greater appeal, such as adding each position for each lap, but it made the charts too cluttered and especially with Monaco the charts were almost unreadable. Tried adding the positions only at the pit stops start and exit, but it looked too empty, so I left them plain, but unfortunately you now cant distinguish the first and second drivers of the same team, so that's the next step. As I say, I'm always improving the tables and charts, trying to make them better and more appealing with my limited knowledge of graphic design.

Charts are always nice to have to see were things went right or wrong for a team.

@Mike: You could try to split the teams drivers, one chart all first drivers (or better finishing) of a team and the 2nd in another chart. As this eliminates two lines having (almost) same colour and usually thins out a placement region, as team drivers often run close together, you might get away with two charts instead of three and still less clutter. Of course it's harder to compare both drivers of a team that way, though.

I have always loved spreadsheets, but have never had a natural ability such as you have with excel, or whichever platform you use. Your league are so lucky to have someone like you dedicated to producing suck lovely data.

I see by your lovely team crest that you clearly do have an ability when it comes to graphic design. Keep up the good work, every league should have someone like you Mike.

Some insane spreadsheets here!
As OP said (getting back to original topic), it would be awesome if MORE CSV could be used used around the game to make data crunching more automatic, an API would be really good as well but I can understand if that isn't possible. Even something basic team name and driver name being in separate cells in the race result.

All of this would help league hosts and stats enthusiasts to make leagues more interesting, especially since the game doesn't store anything about leagues excluding championship results and previous race results (but these are tedious to access in bulk and are far more manual than they should be).

On the topic of impressive sheets, I do wonder how many formulas are in Mike's one! If everything is formulas surely it must grind to a halt every time you update something?! Mad detail!
Here is my league's collection of spreadsheets, not many graphs and it's more looks than numbers tbh (so it takes 10 years to load xD):

Matt, The League Banner and Logo are not created by me, but by our Host Paul Skyeladder, he graciously allows me to add them to our tables and forum page, I have a lot to thank Paul for.

@Leo and @Michal it would be nice to have them in the game no doubt, but you wouldn't get that unique feel to them. Although initially the set up for these tables takes a few hours, once it's all done and ready for the season, I could whack the tables out in around an hour and a half including posting times.
