As Dark Sky will only be available to apple users after July 1st is there any plans to use a different provider for weather data, so android users can have access to the same data?

As far as I know, iGP uses the API for Dark Sky, and it will continue to function until the end of 2021.

Android users will lose the access on July 1st... DarkSky will be absorbed by Apple and they don't admit new sign-ups and they'll shut the API down in 2021

And who will replace DarkSky???

Also I’m in an iPhone and I can’t access it. Does anyone have this problem?

Hello
The API will still be around in 2021 meaning that iGP Manager can still use Darksky for their weather forecasts.

So its all in the details.

Apple are removing the Dark Skys app from the Playstore, it will no longer be available to download. The website will also cease to support anything beyond "support of API and iOS App customers" apparently.

iGP does not rely on the APP, but use API calls to get data directly from Dark Skys. This will continue to function till end of 2021. So regardless of your OS, (android, iOS, windows) the weather will continue to work.

From what I can see the only impact is for anyone not on iOS, without an API key you wont be able to access any weather data beyond the small amount of data the iGP app provides.

Yes but I want to access the data that drives the weather in game I don't much care weather it works or not. Time for igp to get weather data from elsewhere.

Try the national institute from that country. It works
