A quick and easy solution is to add 20 seconds on to the pit time..

The system has a trigger already when it tells you that "Your driver has entered the pit lane." So add something that is already in the system to that...

If you run out of fuel from that moment to stopping in your box.. The car automatically "Ghosts" back to your box.. You complete your normal pit and then you have to wait for 20 seconds before your car is released. This could be classed as your crew "Collecting" your car from the lane and then to fire it back up again..

Something basic and can be added on to the system we already have in place without a huge re-design.

My thoughts are 10 basic updates to iGP is better than 1 huge change that might take a while to impliment and fix,,

What are your thoughts?

Can we add an option that when you run out of fuel the driver pushes the car at 1 m/s for 30 seconds? XD

I have discussed this issue today. Both of your suggestions are complicated to code & so for the time being do not fit into our plan.

Please don't stop suggesting things though, we love to see what you guys think will improve the game

I'm sort of 50/50 on that one Rob.  Maybe a system where if you run out of fuel, you coast to a complete stop, instead of stopping right away....unless it's already in the works.

I agree with Jeremy, the car should gradually stop rather then instantly

The coasting is is also very complicated unfortunately. We will make a change for this, just not in the immediate future

I knew it was hard to code "coasting" in to the game.. So my thought was something more simple and to try and fix a couple of things at the same time.

...

Shame that this way is still to hard atm.

Please dont take this wrong as its not meant to be. But isnt it up to the manager to make sure there is enough fuel in. If you run out of fuel in F1 its race over.

110% Agree Gary. I can honestly say that I have ran out twice in 100's of races... It was spoke about in TS last night and so I thought I would post up my idea..

There are 2 sides of this issue.

1 is for new members who don't really know about fuel loads and 2 is for the extreme elites who want to run the fuel loads with minimum amounts left at the end of pits / race.

Yeah there's always that fine line with setting up fuel as optimally as possible.  Sometimes I put an extra liter of fuel just to be safe, and avoid possible retirement.

As difficult to implement as it may be, Coasting will end people raging because the car stopped just in front of the pit box

Benjamin, There are a number of things that need to be addressed & most of them are deeply frustrating for players & indeed us.

The whole team meets every week to discuss these issues & to prioritise them. We need to address the issue of the car stopping immediately when it runs out of fuel, but at the moment there are things which have a higher priority.
