Well, first of all, sponsor income doesn't get doubled, but neither your designers or marketeers have to be doubled to improve performance. Your prize money will double though.

The only benefit that you get when you have 2 cars is prize money. There, if you reach the objectives with both cars you do get double the prize money. Other than that no, the sponsorship money is the same.
