Hi Gareth, we looked into this issue for you and found that you had a 1-star Chief Designer before you hired your current Chief Designer.
Your car design going into a new season is determined by who the active Chief Designer was at each race you took part of in the previous season.
You can re-join the league before the first race begins to see if it helps giving a car design as if you had participated an entire season prior.
