Personally opinion:
I feel as if qualifying isn't that much realistic. For example usually in real life when the temperature is really high in some tracks having Medium tyres would be more effective then having Super Softs tyres . But in this game no matter the temperature SS always qualify ahead.
Plus I would love to see a more realistic qualifying with 3 parts (don't know how you would split it up, ama leave that to the experts??)
P.S
I ALSO KNOW THAT THESE IDEAS HAVE BEEN BROUGHT UP BEFORE. I'm just mentioning it again so that others who havent seen this before might want to express their opinions under this post.

I think over one lap, the softest tyre will always be quickest, even when it's hot. Yes, they'll be overheating by the end of the lap, causing more wear, but they'll still have enough grip to keep the advantage gained in the first part of the lap. If it's really hot, there's little point qualifying on them because they'll overheat even on PL1, and you'll spend all race falling back

it could be simple.....everyone do the quali lap with the amount of fuel of the first stint.
Then we can have a bit control over it ;-)

And maybe we could choose the tyre only for that lap, but with the amount of fuel we put in for the first stint

I would like to have a three part qualifying. Would be interesting. Perhaps we could manage our cars when we go out?? I don’t know and feel free to shoot me down if i’m just being stupid.

since dirty air and track evolution is a thing we could have qualifying be a short 5 min session just before the race where you can send your drivers out on certain tyres when you wish. Adding on to that is kers could be used which would be deducted from your race kers. they could create a default qualifying for those who dont attend or make it part of the advanced strategy. Not sure how difficult it would be.

Love the idea about Kers

I think they should have a 3 part qualifying, and for each session you have to use different tyre compound. So could set 1st M, 2nd S and 3rd SS, but obviously first session your at risk of not making it through as others could be on a faster tyre than you, 10 knocked out each session. And make it, if you qualify in the top 10, the tyre you’ve qualified on is what you start on, and the other can chose what to start on.
Could really add a new dynamic as ideally you’d want to go for poll on the SS, but you’d had to do the other sessions on slower tyres and at risk at not making the top 10 at all (if other drivers use SS in second session) think it would really mix up the grid, because a top player could risk with meds first session and qualify 21st. And another way round, could go S first then SS and making it into the top 10, but then would have to so the last session on meds and start the race on meds! It would force people on more of a variety of  strategies also. I’m my league I think about 18 races are 4 stop SS,S,S,S,S then rest of the way, then 3 or 4 races 3 stop S,S,S,M and Spain is 4 stop S,S,S,S,M and that’s it

you can make it much easier by qualifying with the amount of fuel on segment 1 (where, for example, 8 laps on M will be faster than 14 laps on C), this will clearly give an impetus to a variety of strategies, and the number of pit stops depends on the number of managers going to their number (if 4 managers go to 4 pit stops, then most likely this state will be lost, although there are always exceptions))

In theory I quite like it, but practical I see a problem. In leagues with enough active players so not everyone makes it into the 3rd round it kills short first stint strategies. The problem is the guys going long can, or rather have to, use the softer compounds in the earlier rounds and thus are the ones making it into the top10. So if you want to start with a short Super Soft stint you need luck that less than 10 drivers go long or you can forget it.
