does using more DCs per season mean having a better car? In the past there was an image that showed the number of design points that the amount of DCs generated for the next season, a season with 20 races for example, dividing 4 DCs into 5 races each, the car came better for the next season. Does this table still exist? Does it still work?

That was my table but because we are currently unable to post images it is not possible to recreate it at the moment.

In any case, since the update to design earlier this year it has become inaccurate. It depends on tier, but assuming you are Elite and you have a CD the same level as your team the benefits of multiple CDs for next season starting design no longer exist.

The reason that multi CDs used to work is because one CD could generate a starting design in a 17 race season of 64 points in their area of strength, but the cap was 50, so 14 dp were wasted. Careful use of more than one CD with different strengths allowed you to reach the cap in more than one design attribute without generating wasted points.

Since the update, the Elite tier start of season design cap either doesn't exist at all or if it does it is so high as to be unachievable, even in a 22 race season.

So the answer to your question is "No, multiple CDs will no longer allow you to start the season with a higher number of DP". The only benefit is switching CD during the season may result in a few extra research points, but the gains are marginal and the risk is an unbalanced car at the beginning of the following season.

For each race this season, a CD the same level as the team generates  3dp in strength, 1dp in weakness and 2dp in the remaining 6 design attributes which are banked for the start of the following season.

Though more than 1 CD with different strengths can mean extra research gains when researching their strength.

Isn't that what I said?

Yep, pretty much, just I wasn't sure if you mentioned about the gains being upon researching their strength 😁
