Mechanics skill not increased?

After training Engineering I got this message:

Engineers +1
Mechanics skill not increased (already maximum)

But, my Engineers and Mechanics are at a low low level 6. Both DID increase to level 7 so I think this (false) message was a very minor bug.

David, I have looked at both of your accounts & cannot see anything wrong. Please let me know if this happens again

The problem is right there Andrew :P

It told him that nothing increased when in fact it did. He is saying the message is false, which apparently it was.

I don't understand then. I still can't see anything wrong

The message said his mechanics didn't increase but they did in fact increase +1.

The message is misleading, that's what he meant to say.

David - if it happens again take screen shots as that helps in understanding the problem.

I don't know if a screenshot will do any good because I copy/pasted the text just as it said on the Training page. I don't recall anything abnormal about the page. Before training Engineering, both my Mechanics and Engineers were at LVL 6. I got this message upon training them, went and checked their skills, and they both rose to LVL 7.

What is a low level 6? Don't they just go from 1 to 20, not low or high anything? Is he just just confusing engineers and mechanics with his higher level staff which do have levels that can be high and low? The Chief Designer, for example?

"low" as in, shamefully low. I recently reset my team and regretting it.

It happened again. Andrew, it seems it only happens with this account.

Could it be a bug due to resetting my team? I have a feeling that the system thinks I have maxed out the Mechanics skill because the stats I had prior to the reset were quite high. Now I am working on training them up all over again and this message is false.

Well that looks like a bug to me.  Good screenshots - it makes it obvious what you mean.

Any update on this one guys? Getting the same message..

There isn't an update at this time. Your training level is increasing even though it says it isn't.

Ok thanks Andrew. I wasn't sure if it meant that the Level was already at its highest (although showing otherwise). So it is still worth me training my Engineers and Mechanics?
