There should be some kind of messaging system need to be present in this game.
Or any kind of text area where managers in the league can discuss the things other then commenting and all.

Hello,
There is an in-game mail system which means you can mail any manager in the game*. There is also the league wall. 

* Some managers may have their iGP Manager mail setting to only receive mails from Friends/nobody

Messaging and mailing system are two different things.
Comments on the other hand is used to solve only specific problem.
Hope you got my point.
