Is it still possible to change tyres on the grid when weather changes and if so how should it work?

Joined my race today and it was raining and I was on SS. I selected Inters while there was over a min on the countdown. I thought was it hit 20s or something it should change? Instead I started on SS.

I have had this happen a few times now.

As far as I know, you must set the Advanced Strategy in order to have the extra tyre options to change on grid.

I always turn that on for inters when it's not raining.

Did you set yours?

Hi,

So I thought I did, but my push level was set to 3 and I was on dry tyres, so suggests I didn't (unusual for me!)

However the option was still available, tyre select was not greyed out.

I have also experienced this were I have wanted to change to dry tyres from Inters or Inters to wets before the race starts and the count down is still running.

Can you confirm to me though exactly how it should work, so at least if it happens again I will know that I have fulfilled the criteria and decide if I need to log a bug report?

I managed a decent recovery, so not too worried a about last race, but nice to know for the future.

Thanks.

I do believe first stint locks a minute or half a minute before lights out

"Just ticking Advanced strategy should do the trick"

Well, that's what I think if you want a quick answer, but I'm not sure what would happen to tyre selection on grid if you put Wet +3mm and water level is yet to reach that level.

As I said before, setting Advanced Strategy for Intermediate tyres for both cases (if water level reaches 0mm) / (if stops raining 0 or 1 lap) does seem to work for me every time it's dry and starts raining after practice lock down.
