Advanced qualifying sessions which can be spectated by managers 10 minutes before race start. 3 laps, driver personal best goes on the board. Boost and drs would be available but boost would be limited to 15% per lap only, so managers would have to strategize and economize further. 1st stint qualifying rule still used.

Yes I would like to see that it is much realistic watching the qually sessions

No thx, it would mean all of us having to be online 10 minutes earlier or lose positions.
Can’t ask that of the managers who can just make it to live races, would make them quit the game imo

It could be an option and if some league want to enable it, enable it. And the leagues that dont want advanced qualifying they wont activate it. Each league should be fully editable with any little thing. For example, advanced qualifying, 1 point for the hot lap, ballast yes or no, 3 categories or 2 o 4, etc etc etc

Not a bad idea, but it needs tweaking, so...

1)  keep it optional.

2)  start a quali session at the same time that a race would normally start.

3)  increase the total laps by the amount of quali laps in this option.  E.g. a 56 lap race would become a 59 lap race with a split of 3 quali laps and 56 racing laps

4)  fuel would have to be factored in and would include enough for the full race and quali.  E.g. if you were to only fuel for the above exemplar 56 laps, you would actually be 3 laps short of fuel for the race and would have to putstop with 3 laps to go

5)  quali will be a 10 minute, 5 lap (including in and out laps) sprint.  Not the plain 3 laps as stated.  With another 2 minutes at the end to tweak your strat and car settings.

6)  If you want to do this like F1, then the boost option will be permanently on and DRS would be allowed without the 1s rule

7)  quali speed will be increased to allow for the strict 5 minute limit.  E.g.  if you race in normal time, then your quali time may be raised to the 2x faster, or quicker, for quali, alone.

I think that is about that.  I am also ready to be shot down in a blaze of glory, as per usual, here

@ Timothy Barry.... For point 4, don't you mean enough fuel between race start (quali included) and first pit-stop. You're never or very rarely gonna have a player doing a whole race without pitting. Not sure if that's even an option tbh! Only other point I disagree with is boost. Boost will detract from the skill element. Drs, push levels, management skills and fuel strategy are more than enough to determine how fast a player is. I think boost will just over saturate and drown out the more important and what should be, influential elements I just mentioned. I Like all the other points though, sounds good! Although I don't mean to put a dampner on things but tbh, regardless of how good it may seem, I can't see them bringing something like this into the game, at least not for a long time. This would take a lot of work to not only get up and running but to get right as well.

Guys every league option means hours and hours of coding with the danger no league will use it. Imo for a small studio a big number of options is not feasable.

I think this project could be too much time for some people like me... But it's a good idea!

Well.  The pitstop bit, I thought everybody would realise and I omitted talking about number of pitstops to be concise.  So, in setup you could do a 5 lap stint on supers, then back to your normal setup, due to the pause to tweak the car.

And in the boost bit, I was trying to do things like in F1 irl.  I would either go full boost for 100% of the quali session or 0 boost for quali but an amount of boost, pre-charged in quali, depending on your tech level for the entire race.

Finally, I actually agree with your last point here
It wpould be nice to have the option, but it may be too much work for the devs...
