Dear iGP Staff
I'd like to start this off I'm not trying to be rude, and keeping this contructive criticism.
I know you guys did some good work on the servers, and that had a priority on your list to get the game smooth. But this problem has taken, as I understand it 3 developers over 6 months to imploy. Since I started this game the only thing that got fixed about the gameplay is... nothing (fix, you added a limiter to the temperature, but not even went through the tracks and saw some need a higher limit (like Monaco). The only gameplay update I've seen is the 2D viewer almost a year back. I know you guys have been working on a whole new sim and trying to get that working but I think it'd better to fix the small bugs on this game first:
the DRS bug in Spain, where place 6-9 gets drs the 2nd lap (before it should be available)
the 1st turn bug in Europe, where the 2nd guy ALWAYS overtakes the 1st guy if the 2nd guy is on full push (and not ridiculously heavy fuel load)
The monaco pit bug, where it seems the speed limiter is on the wrong place/not installed
the auto-kers bug, where you can untick "auto-kers" and it still uses your kers
the bug where it doesn't load your setup you saved
I won't name the "pit rape" bug and the bug that you're stuck behind a driver because I know you guys have worked on this.
My point here I'm trying to make is make some improvements on the current game, adjust the base of the simulator before you're going to build on it. If you're working with 3 people full time you should be able to simulate some dots going round a screen at least better then they do now. I know it's much more complicated but start with the base, and you'll be able to build on that. 
Now with the supplier opdate: It's bugged. There's no way around that and I think Jason's test league shows that (oh, pretty pathetic btw that someone who pays for the game tests a update way better then someone who should get paid for it). It can happen there's a bug in there, but at least try to fix it. I'm not saying you're not trying or tried to fix it but we players, uhum customers don't hear a thing about what you guys are working on (Andrew did some updates, but we could use some info now). Because of the lack of updates, and if you guys are developping something the lack of letting us know you are actually making progress on something a lot of the managers, uhum customers are leaving here, and that's a problem.
Myself I love the concept of the game, the manager aspect and everything around it. When I started playing it was awesome, but the longer I played, the more I came across bugs and the higher I got up the ladder of managers and leagues, the more races were decided by buys (Mainly stupid quali and prapes). 
Can we convert this game to a good game to play again? YES WE CAN
I HAVE A DREAM, that iGP manager adresses the bugs, tests the new updates and comes to the people who play the game a lot and probably know more about it then some developpers (take Jason Lee, he's got his own testing league and is playing this game with 20+ accounts) If you had a had a good talk with a lot of experienced managers, saw their view and tried to adress the stuff that's wrong with the game this game could grow again. I haven't played the big improved iGP, but I think with a lot of improvements that (I haven't heard of) are not in the new big update, this game can get a lot better, and on the forums there have been a lot of good suggestions (more tires, new tracks to get some new experiences and a lot more) I don't think the problem in this game is the design system for example, but it's gonna change (probably in a year or 2 when the games already dead at this rate)

You may wonder why I'm taking the trouble to write all this stuff, but that's because I love the game and I think it's got a lot of potential, but it's going to die if it continues like this. Andrew probably knows more about this then I do so I hope he really can make a diffrence for you, but that's when you take his advice, and more important the managers, uhum customers advice.

I must admit I am curious as to why the very old bugs are still not fixed. The DRS one, the europe one, the monaco pits etc. These have been around since day 1, and were reported well over a year ago. I really don't understand this. They are blatant bugs, not gameplay features. They ruin the game and you have known about them for a very long time. We have literally heard absolutely nothing from the developers about these bugs. Do you know the cause? Do you not understand the cause? Do you know the cause and they are being worked on? Have these bugs even been looked into? Unfortunately the last one seems the most likely and I (like many others) have lost all hope to see a fix any time soon.. if ever.

I agree with Yuri, and this isn't the first time someone has said it on the forums. It's basically what Elcio said before he quit (and he quit playing because of the bugs that never get fixed) playing the game: Fix the original product before building the second one. The development priorities are a little mixed up and very unappealing to paying customers because it genuinely appears that the development team has just stopped caring.

About this known bugs I was used to them, so, they were being tolerated.

But, honestly I am just thinking how development team will fix this suppliers change. It is completely broken, and left me out of motivation to race.

I stated in the other thread that I was convinced the changes were working, but now I'm not convinced anymore. I've studied the data from the three races I've had since the changes, and while I know that tire wear and fuel consumption are different now, it does seem that even though Murk/Beep/Bridgerock is still the fastest combo, changing suppliers and then changing back to that is noticeably slower. I can't say from first-hand knowledge, because no one in my league has changed suppliers at all, but I'm baffled as to how some parts of the changes work and others do not.

I don't believe that each stat for the suppliers are weighted equally, I never have believed that, and I don't think that should be the case anyway. If the goal was to balance the suppliers so different ones were better at different tracks, I'd say that effort has come up short.

But yes, bottom line is there are quite a few issues that need fixing, and no progress has been made on many of them.

I'm not a programmer but i think that maybe Java is the reason for all troubles?
Maybe the game has bugs because Java is buggy?
Those are some thoughts... Devs don't take it the wrong way... ;)

Good posting I personally havent seen may issues but yet again I have only completed one season of IGP.

Talking to my league last night post race a lot of the members who are in the same situation said there fuel consumption rate was LESS than anticipated.  By approx 5-7L for a 50% race distance.

I will keep an eye on this as well an add anything new to this trend if I see any negative or less than favorable results.

Tbh, that was what I expected, but Andrew did respond, so that's been going for me witch is nice.
I think this game has the potential to be a veeeery good game, it's just too bad that for whatever reason the game isn't progressing :(

Whether or not this is truth is anyone's guess, but I've chosen to give the devs the benefit of a doubt on that matter.

Whether or not this is truth is anyone's guess, but I've chosen to give the devs the benefit of a doubt on that matter.

Considering the OP's main point is about fixing crap that has been around since the beginning and still appears to not even been worked on at all, I dare say that definitely isn't the case here.

that's how is seems to go, they don't care what we post on the forums and just go on doing their own thing, and loosing more and more customers because of it.

I only manage the social media for iGP, so I don't know if I'm remotely being considered as 'staff'. I just find it difficult to write a proper response on this topic, cause I think you're right. I'm really glad there's still a lot of enthusiasm for this game though, even despite its obvious shortcomings.

I just know coding is a complex task, one from which I understand just a little, and I know the developers are working hard, and are severely underpaid for the amount of work they're doing.

And that's why I'm writing this topic. I know they're working on it, but for many managers it doens't seem like they're doing anything. That causes in them leaving and the game even bringing in less money. I started this because I think if the staff works out some basic bugs, and lets the managers know what they're working on, and even more important what their improving on I know a lot more managers would be playing this game. Countless managers have left the game, not that they don't like the game they're all leaving and 'coming back when the update comes'. The server stability is much better now, so I think it would be much better for this game to let managers know and show them you're improving the game. It'd be great if some basic bugs were removed from the game and maybe add 1 simple change to the game to make it completely fresh. It doesn't have to be hard to implement at all. For example:

1: Fuel dependant qualifying, there will be managers who like this and managers that don't like this, but it'd make a lot of new strategies better, because you could go light, and probably have a good quali, go normal, get held up a bit but you are on the optimal strategy or you could actually go light on hards for once, and not be outqualified by someone who's going long 1st stint. It would get rid of people being held up a lot by someone going heavy, and basicly making it depend on luck if you can make a light first stint work. I don't think this'll be hard to implement because it would be 1 parameter to change, this can for example be an option for the league so not everyone has to race with this.

2: Add new tire compounds, this would be harder to imply but would basicly do the same for quali as the fuel dependent quali would do, but would make some more strats possible in race as well. This would get A TON of managers back that stopped the game and waiting for new updates. For a game that shows progress, people like to pay so I can almost certainly say if a good updates hits, and bugs are fixed more people would buy 2D and invest in the game.

Also a year is a long time for the shortest period you can buy 2D, and it's much too expensive to buy 2D with reward points (although I know some people doing this). Maybe add an option to buy 2D for half a year for 20 pounds or so. 

I'm doing this cause I love to play this game, but if it continues like this the game is probably going to go down one way or the other, I've played 3 daily leagues at the same time and I spectate a lot of races. I've heard a lot of people in this game and I've seen a lot leave the game as well. I know I'm speaking for a lot of managers when I say we want some basic bugs fixed now, and maybe wait a little longer for the 'big update' that Jack keeps saying. Because the 'big update' seems that's it very buggy from the people i spoke who helped testing it.

Pretty much all of the desired developments you've cited are isolated to the simulator / viewer. If you're having trouble figuring out who developed that stuff, it might be because they aren't here. We've been training up a new simulator developer, and we do not have three developers in the sense that you imagine it. We have just one trainee developer on the simulator. A few months ago we had nobody. I am a web developer, I wouldn't have a clue where to start on the simulator. That is what we really have been working around, and it explains a lot more than assuming we have three highly active simulator developers.

We can all see the obvious answers: fix this or build that and make people happy. What's not so obvious is who is going to do it when key people leave? How do you replace them without a budget? How long will that take? What can we do in the meantime to keep the game fresh for the customers, while we figure out the situation? Then you get a few curveballs thrown in like Java updates that block your applet. Those are the real answers we are coming up with, not sitting twiddling thumbs pondering "what to do next?".

So I can relate to your frustration. I have often been in your position internally within the company, asking for these things to be fixed. I've personally reached the last straw, which is why I am currently in the process of acquiring and restructuring the company entirely. A strong future for iGP depends on my dedication and your willingness to ride out this bumpy patch with me if you believe in it. Frankly, I think we're doing well all things considered. The top priority has been ensuring that during this period you have had a stable service. The lack of communication about what has been going on is because I'm in the process of restructuring the company, and it's not the kind of information that can be published publically, nor would we want it to be.

If you want to understand what is going on then that's pretty much it. People move on, and some people are harder to replace than others. It has taken much longer than I would have liked to reach this stage, and I hope you are still with me (Yuri and others), when we come out the other side of this. Pretty much since we opened our doors to the public it has been a very bumpy ride behind the scenes at iGP. We've done our best to keep providing a strong service to you under tight constraints and limitations individually and as a company. If you had any idea what we have been through to get it even this far, I don't think you would have any doubts that we're doing everything we can for you.

Thanks for posting your reply here Jack. This Update already Clears a lot up. I knew you guys went through some trouble to get understanding of the simulator since the maker of it left, maybe a stupid question but why can't you get Andrew (I tought that was the guy who made the sim) to learn the new developper some things about the sim, maybe for some payment he'll be willing to do that and the developper could work much more efficient on the sim. And yes, most of the bugs are from the sim as I think the rest is working really well, but most of the hardcore players spend most of their time in the sim.

And for the fuel dependant qualfying, I'm not a developer and I could be very wrong, but if it's only changing a number to the fuel in the car, it would make the game fresh for at least 5 seasons.
