Car upgrade on changing league

What did you try to do?
I have just changed leagues

What happened instead?
My car settings are now at either 1 or 2, with just 6 points to upgrade for my new league.

Did the problem happen while using wi-fi, mobile data, or both?
Wi-fi

Did the bug happen in the app, on PC, or both?
Both

What is the model of your device?
ipad and pc

What is the operating system?
iOS

What is the version number of the operating system?
12.4.8

What operating system is your PC?
windows 10

Which browser did you experience the problem in?
microsoft edge

Can the bug be reproduced?
yes I have left and rejoined the league - no change in upgrade points

It's not a bug, you joined the league after the first race had been completed. To get a competitive design from the beginning of the season you need to join during the season break.

The good news is that you have plenty of races to catch up if you are careful with research and assigning dp, so you should be able to grab a few points later in the season to dodge relegation.

I had exactly this situation when I joined my current league on this profile a couple of weeks ago. My car was hilariously bad at the start, but I've won a couple of races and got 5 or 6 podiums in the 2nd half, and I'm 2nd in the league looking at promotion.  It's actually helped me learn alot about the game dynamics.
