The new circuit record in Japan is now 0:59.729 done by 2 drivers of the same team

See the results here: http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/337256#race

I wonder what engine/fuel/tyre combination they had to achieve such a quick lap. I want the same

The current race ap record for Japan is at 0:59.729 at the moment which doesn't sound very likely. :)

Looking at the result of the race where this record has been set two drivers even did the same laptime with a average lap speed of 350 km/h, about 120 kmh more than a normal average lap speed. There wasn't a typhoon at the time I suppose? :D

It's kind of like the old Spain qualifying record. About a year ago some team broke it by 6 or 8 seconds, but it was never removed and we were never given a reason as to why it happened.

I have wiped the qualifying lap record for Spain and the race lap record for Japan. I've passed it on to be investigated. We saw something similar in testing once but were never able to reproduce it. Because of the circumstances here I think I may have spotted a link, so I've asked for that specifically to be looked in to as well, which might turn up something.
