This has probably been suggested before, but I wanted to mention it again. Why not make it so that the cars don't interact (block) with each other in the pit lane? That way there wouldn't be such an issue with getting held up.
Otherwise I don't really see another way of completely solving the problem.
What do people think about this?

The pitlane blocking I think should only take affect in two car leagues with your own two cars, it's not like real f1 where you don't want to pit at the same time as every one else because pitting at a different time can cost seconds a lap, and getting unlucky in the pits can also cost you a half or even full second
