i'm a subscriber and whenever i try to watch a race on live timing or 2d viewer it says the security settings are blocking java from running, i'm guessing it's something to do with java and google chrome but i was wondering if anyone knew how to unblock it? i have read instructions on java but they dont work, i'm probably doing something wrong but the instructions were so complicated! any help would be really apreciated, thanks :D
Still pointing people to the workaround, Andrew? The 2d viewer is a signed application, removing the cached version from the Java settings in control panel should be the advice here. Saying that though, I still get this error myself on the live timing- I am waiting a response to a ticket for that atm.
Joey, getting people to lower their security settings is surely not advisable.
Maybe it's because i'm on my office computer, but no matter what I do i keep getting the block. I cant adjust the security settings and i've tried deleting the temporary files. That appears to work and the live control timer looks like it will load, then i get the error at the last minute.
I think only the 2D viewer is signed. I use Timing + Live Control (non-subscriber) and I still get the warnings about it being an unsigned application.
