You must have a debit card right? Use that.

When you set up your pay pal. DO NOT put your payment details in the main settings. There are a couple of reasons for not doing it.. but when you have set up the basic paypal account. You will need to verify it with them adding 2 small payments in to your account that you enter into the paypal and bingo, you will be able to transfer money to and from your account in to that, then pay for iGP.

There is a way to "borrow" from Paypal for 3 days if you set it up this way. ;)

Yeah, as Sonny has pointed out you can also pay by eCheque. Instead of needing a card (credit or debit), all you need is a bank account. You can link the bank account to the PayPal account, and PayPal will withdraw the funds from there.

Hopefully that helps! We're glad you're enjoying the service.

Thanks, but my Paypal Account is connected since many years to my bank account. It worked every time i have placed a paypal paying and it works on other sites/buyings too. I nearly need paypal every day, the only sits were i have to put a credit card with my paypal account are igpmanager and microsoft.I know this is related to the settings of the owner of the "selling" paypal account. Maybe your Paypal account settings does not accept any bank transfer from aboard?
Jack, if you send me an paypal payment avis (at your paypal account, sonds like payment request or similar) i will get a payment link via email. This should work for me, i thimk we made this at my last subscription too.

Thank you guys for your replies!

Hello Jack,

i had spoken to paypal, it´s definitely a setting that the "seller" has made to his account.

I had a look to my older subscription, we had done this like you suggested via your direct-payment-link that you created through paypal and sent to me per email. This worked the last time (about 15 months ago) and this will work this time too. I opened a ticket at your helpdesk but haven´t get any answer about that (now 7 hours gone). I really want to subscribe new to this game.

Here´s your PM for the payment of last subscription:

Hi Manuel,
Do you have a PayPal account? If so we can manually set up an invoice and then you can pay by whatever method you prefer.

If not, we can also do a bank wire, but that will probably have fees associated with it on both ends.

Regards,
Jack

Hi Manuel,
I have sent the request to xxx@. Let me know when it is paid and the transaction ID# so I can confirm it is paid and add the subscription.

Regards,
Jack

Hi Jack,

I've got the same problem as Manuel. Could you mail me such a direct-payment-link, too?

Create a helpdesk ticket providing your PayPal email address and I will issue the request.

I will take a look in to the settings as well, and see what is going on with it requiring a credit card. I know for a fact that someone from Holland just payed with his bank account though via eCheque, so I don't understand the difference. It seems entirely possible already, but some people say it is not. Maybe it is restricted to certain nations, as I see you are both in Germany.

Hello! I want to cancel my subscription. I cannot do it on site. How could I do it otherwise?

Have you tried this?

Click on 'Account' in the top right corner.

Click on 'My Subscriptions'

Click on 'Payments History'

Click on 'Cancel Subscription'
Yes, thanks, I tried that several times but it is not working. After that there's nothing in "All activity" to cancel. Perhaps they take the money for renewal from my account and only then I must cancel that "activity". Preety stupid, but efficient for them.

I expect that "activity" won't work too.

Hi Calin,
If you are using PayPal for the transactions there could be a problem cancelling the payment because we're using the PayPal standard API instead of PayPal Pro, which doesn't allow remote alterations of the subscription (We applied for Pro and got rejected, but we will keep pursuing a Pro account for iGP.). In other words PayPal cancellations must be made within PayPal.com. We did not design the membership scripts which display this cancellation link either, they are a standard secure membership system used by many websites.

In the meantime, you can follow these instructions to cancel any recurring payment profiles created with PayPal (such as iGP) https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/helpcenter/helphub/article/?articleID=FAQ2145&m=SRE

I hope that clears up your questions, and and concerns you may have had about the design of the system itself.
