Lose many positions. Sometimes more than 10 in less than one lap, sometimes 8-9 just in one turn. Fuel has no impact on it.

It happens in many tracks, maybe every track. It's been happening for months. We try to have a good qualify, but the start change everything.

yes our league starts are just crazy up and down the order, 3rd to 15th in one corner then the next corner you get 7 places back to 8th, some players every race are going from 2nd to 22nd in 2 corners and stay there or similar amounts positions lost.
It never used to be like this ive played for many years, old game and new game and the last few+ months have been so weird, i can't remember exactly when it started but you definitely changed something in the past to make this start/first lap behaviour, makes first lap of race a complete lottery and you know how we hate lotterys on this game unless we are always at the back of course..

This is in some ways more realistic as in f1 starts there is always those unlucky few forced to the outside and always those brave ones who gain 5 positions with an incredible divebomb

Yesterday I raced Abu Dhabi twice, once qualified P9 and fell to 17th, then 11th (3rd of S runners) and fell inexplicably to P24 within 2 sectors!

This happens in our league as well. It may not be a bug, may well be them trying to replicate starts where things can change and go wrong.
If it is this then the coding needs blending better as it isn’t realistic at the moment.

The game does replicate good and bad starts and it worked pretty well in the past, but some months ago something changed. Maybe a bug was introduced, maybe it's something like more and more managers started to follow the same strategy in car development and are also much closer in performance in general, intensified by the DP range change, which is pushing the system to its limits as it might take the cars too long to establish the proper gaps that 'lock' and settle the cars into position and thus allows even tiny driver mistakes, or perfect moves of an opponent, cause (several) big chain reactions in the grid.

Just thinking out loud: could driver experience mean anything in all this? Because i tend to win places in first lap and my drivers are amongst the oldest in my league. I’m not leading in car development so maybe age or experience might do something in first lap?
